Toru Taniguchi of Japan has withdrawn from next week's Match Play Championship because of a neck injury, putting Henrik Stenson in the 64-man field.

Taniguchi was No. 64 in the world ranking, so the change will not affect the brackets.

Stenson, the first alternate at No. 65 in the world, will face top-ranked Lee Westwood in the opening round Wednesday. Stenson won the Match Play Championship in 2007, the first year that it moved to Dove Mountain north of Tucson. That was on a different course.
