Let's trade everyone except Roy and LA and all our draft picks to get every Spanish player in the league

People, this kid is 18! Imagine how good he'd be with some seasoning.

Hmm. Oden, Bayless, Batum, Outlaw, Przybilla, Webster and Blake for Pau Gasol, Jose Calderon, Marc Gasol? Am I missing a Spanish player in the NBA? I assume you didn't mean to trade the Spanish players we already have.

PG: Calderon / Rodriguez
SG: Roy / Fernandez
SF:
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Marc Gasol
C: Pau Gasol

No thanks. The lack of a small forward might be a problem. If Portland went small, with Roy and Rudy in the starting lineup, it would be a pretty good team, if the starters could go 48 minutes every night.

What pick this year would you trade Bayless for?

Or

What pick do you think we could get for him?

None. We need to keep Bayless because he is going to be a perfect fit next to Roy and there is only a couple players in this draft I would want more then Bayless.

If we are going to trade Bayless which I thionk is a big mistake it has to be for a veteran PG.

Bayless, Outlaw, 24th pick, and cash for #2 pick in draft?

 that would probably get a good laugh from the team with the #2 pick. My guess is 1... if they are going to trade Rubio it will be because they already have a good PG and can move down... 2. If they have a PG already they don't need Bayless.

I think Rudy would have to be thrown in to make them consider it, along with taking back a bad contract. We'd also have to try and get another 1st rounder with our TE and trade that as well as a future 1st. I doubt that would get it done though.

Bayless, Outlaw, Rudy, Martell, two 1sts (one aquired from the TE), future 1st(s), cash, and take back a large bad contract (probably more than just 1 to keep their roster under the limit and ours over if we are going to trade 4 players). IDK... i'd do it, but it probably wouldn't work. But that helps us consolidate and get Rubio... Rubio/Blake PG rotation would be nice.

Anyway, IDK about Bayless. Of course my preference would be to keep him and for him to flourish as our PG for the next 10 years, but things don't happen the way i want them to. There are plenty of other youngish PGs i'd rather have then Bayless, and if we get one of them i'd be fine dealing him. If we are going after a vet then we should probably keep Bayless as the backup and trade Blake and of course Sergio.

Anyway, these are my dream (top 12) PGs currently in the NBA... I'd take any of them tbh. (more will probably be added after draft day)

Paul, Rose, Williams, Harris, Parker, Billups, Westbrook, Sessions, Stuckey, Rondo, Ellis, Brooks
in order.

As for the question, i'd trade Bayless in a package for a good PG (preferably youngish but Parker and Billups are exceptions) or i'd trade him for Rubio or Jennings in this draft. I'm very intrigued with Maynor at the moment, and Patty Mills is pretty tight.

damn you and your logic.. :sigh:

There is a certain irony here.

Bayless couldn't get off the bench for a NBA play-off team. Jennings couldn't get off the bench in Europe. Outside of die-hard Blazer fans, Bayless has lost his luster. Jennings is still considered a high lotto pick.

Bayless is still more likely to have a good NBA career than Jennings, but no NBA team would trade Jennings for him straight up.
