TRAIL BLAZERS AND CLIPPERS BEGIN FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF SERIES SUNDAY IN LOS ANGELES
Limited tickets for Games 3, 4 and 6 (if necessary) in Portland are still available

PORTLAND, Ore. (April 13, 2016) – With the regular season now complete, the Portland Trail Blazers (No. 5 seed) are set to meet the Los Angeles Clippers (No. 4 seed) in the First Round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs. All First Round games will be televised by KGW Channel 8 and on the Trail Blazers Television Network, and broadcast by Rip City Radio 620-AM and the Trail Blazers Radio Network.

Los Angeles will host Games 1 and 2 at STAPLES Center – Sunday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. (PDT) and Wednesday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. (PDT). The series then shifts to the Moda Center for Games 3 and 4 – Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. (PDT) and Monday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. (PDT). If necessary, remaining games will be held Wednesday, April 27 (Los Angeles), Friday, April 29 (Portland) and Sunday, May 1 (Los Angeles).

The Trail Blazers won seven of their last nine games to finish with a record of 44-38, fifth-best in the Western Conference. Portland’s 32 playoff appearances are fourth-most by any team since the Trail Blazers joined the NBA in 1970-71.

Limited tickets still remain for Portland’s First Round series. Tickets are available at trailblazers.com, Ticketmaster, the Rose Quarter Box Office (M-F, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) or by calling 800.745.3000. A maximum of four tickets for each game are available to each customer, subject to availability. To guarantee access to playoff tickets, become a season ticket holder today. The NBA Playoffs bring an increase in ticket fraud on the secondary market. Fans are encouraged to protect themselves by purchasing tickets directly from the team.

Moda and your local Toyota Dealers are the presenting partners of Portland’s 2016 NBA Playoffs.

Anyone that wants to go to the game with me I will meet there as long as they buy the tickets. Hell, I'll drive you back to Vegas and drop you off on the strip and you can fly home from here.

I didn't much care for Tail Bangers though. The plot sucked, and frankly there wasn't enough sucking.

Blazers could have easily won 50 games if they had simply split those close ones, but it wouldn't have made a difference. 44 wins is the least amount needed to get the 5th seed in the west in a long time. In many years, it wouldn't even get you into the playoffs. But we can just enjoy our chance to play spoiler. This team was supposed to be terrible, I thought they would be mediocre, but they are a few notches above average and are good enough to beat the Clippers. I don't think they are good enough to beat the Clippers AND the refs in a series though.

Sucks I'm gonna have to miss game 1, doing some stuff for charity. Lets steal one!

I just hope we see some sort of adjustment to defend Pails midrange jumper. Can't just be letting him shoot that. It's like a layup for him.

In the end I think this series will come down to the role players. Crawford for LA, Crabbe/Harkless for Portland.

I think it will come down to Paul vs. Lillard. Paul makes a lot fewer mistakes, including missed shots, and puts on a clinic.

Their weakness is their prima donna coach, so Stotts should train his players to goad and provoke Rivers. Maybe by hurting his conceited son. Yeah, I think I have a good plan now.

Also, Paul Allen could sell a lot of shares that week and start a run on Microsoft, to distract Balmer so that he can't pay the players without cashing in his options.

Go Blazers Steal one in stinkin LA

Nice that they're only going to have two games during the week I'm in Disney World. That was very considerate of the schedule makers.

Who cares about Disney World?

PLAYOFFS BABY!

PLAYOFFS BABY!

It's not about Disney so much as the fact I'll be in Orlando, meaning our games won't finish until probably after 1:00am.

I love living on the West coast.

Excited, but CP3 usually kills Lillard, so lets hope we can ball up and make it even (then we win).

What's that saying about hope in one hand and shit in the other, and see which one fills up faster? ;)
