TRAIL BLAZERS TO CELEBRATE RIP CITY PASSION AND LOYALTY
WITH ANNUAL FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT ON APRIL 13 VS. DENVER
Regular Season Finale May Determine Seeding in NBA Western Conference Playoffs
PORTLAND, Ore. (April 11, 2016) – The Portland Trail Blazers egular season finale this Wednesday versus the Denver Nuggets will feature on and off-court excitement for fans crowded into Moda Center. As the backdrop for the regular season wrap-up, Trail Blazers fans can also enjoy the annual Fan Appreciation Night, with special thank-you gifts and other festivities all night long. Tip-off for the game is 7:30 p.m., with television coverage on KGW Channel 8; and the radio broadcast on flagship Rip City Radio AM-620 and the Trail Blazers Radio Network.
Awaiting fans will be a special commemorative t-shirt chosen by fan voting on the Trail Blazers team website. Thank-you messages will also adorn the Rose Quarter Commons and Moda Center concourses as a salute to Rip City and the passionate support shown by Trail Blazers fans throughout the season. The game’s high-energy video open for player introductions will also be courtesy of online fan voting.
Also on Wednesday, Rip City Clothing Company will use its @RipCityClothing handle on Twitter to determine whether shoppers receive a 10% discount off everything in the store; or 20% off when spending $50 or more before, during and after the game. The Trail Blazers 1977 NBA World Championship Trophy will be on display near Gate A18 on the Main Concourse for fan photos. To crown the evening’s festivities, lucky fans chosen from among Season Ticket Holders will receive game-worn jerseys from each Trail Blazers player in the annual “Shirts Off Our Backs” giveaway. Wednesday’s game jersey from Trail Blazer Mason Plumlee will be up for charity auction during the game’s first half at the Trail Blazers Foundation 5050 raffle booth adjacent to Gate A6, and available for the winning bidder immediately following the game.
Fans attending Wednesday’s game are encouraged to download the Trail Blazers mobile app, and turn on notifications and Bluetooth for a chance to win prizes at the arena. Attendees can also join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #ThankYouRipCity. A special Fan Appreciation Night landing page for more interactions is also active at trailblazers.com/fanappreciationnight.
Tickets for the Trail Blazers opening round of the NBA Playoffs are currently on sale at trailblazers.com, Ticketmaster, the Rose Quarter Box Office (M-F, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) or by calling 800.745.3000. A maximum of four (4) tickets for each home playoff game are available to each customer, subject to availability. The NBA Playoffs raise the threat of ticket fraud on the secondary market. Fans are encouraged to protect their purchases by buying tickets directly from the team.
