About 3 years ago, Quick reported from Pritchard that Aldridge had gained 15 pounds of solid muscle. The board was breathless all summer. I wasn't, because I knew that Aldridge's problems are in his head and small nondribbling hands, not in his muscles.
So he shows up to camp looking identical to how he looked last time we had seen him. Excuses evolve, and eventually this is the conventional wisdom from Oregonian/Pritchard defenders: It was true that he gained 15 pounds of solid muscle in July, but then he lost it in August or September.
