It doesn't seem like five years have passed since Wie first gained notoriety by qualifying for an LPGA event at the age of 12. But she'll be 18 this fall, at which time she legally becomes an adult.</p>
That's one of the problems with child prodigies. They always grow up way too fast.</p>
