Republicans, yet again, do right by black Americans

Murdock: Blue wave would mean 'chaos' for Congress

Fox News contributor explains how a Democrat midterm takeover would dramatically shift congressional committees to the left and threaten President Trump's agenda.

The party that freed the slaves continues to liberate black Americans today.

‘What the hell do you have to lose?” candidate Donald J.Trump queried black Americans in 2016, as he asked for their votes with characteristically blunt eloquence. Eight percent of black voters bought his pitch. While this seems like a rout, Trump outperformed Mitt Romney by one-third; 6 percent of blacks backed 2012’s GOP nominee. Trump’s total was astonishing, given that the left/media slandered him as the guy who brings the lighter fluid to a cross burning.

So, what do blacks think of Trump today? Rasmussen’s tracking poll Monday found Trump’s approval among blacks at a record-high 40 percent, versus 50 percent nationwide. How could this be? The Trump-hating Left/media’s attacks have been ruthless, relentless, and more one-sided than a flounder. Answer: President Trump and Republican leadership have made black Americans better off than they were two years ago.

• Black unemployment was 8.6 percent in October 2016. Last month, it hit 6.2 percent, marginally above May’s lowest-ever 5.9 percent.

• The Labor Department counted 18.1 million blacks employed in October 2016 versus 19.3 million last month. In short, 1.2 million more black Americans have found work since Donald J. Trump was elected.

• Blacks below poverty fell from 21.8 percent in 2016 to 21.2 percent in 2017, the latest and historically lowest such reading.

This great news flows from Republican policies: abundant tax relief, robust deregulation, and a pro-business tone in Washington that is healing Obama’s “You didn’t build that!” public abuse of American enterprise.

The party that freed the slaves has done even more to liberate black Americans today:

• The GOP’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which every single Democrat in Congress opposed, includes Opportunity Zones. These areas “offer tax incentives for businesses to invest in economically distressed communities, making them a powerful vehicle for economic growth and job creation,” a White House statement explains. Across America, 8,761 communities have been declared Opportunity Zones, not unlike the Enterprise Zones that the late Congressman Jack Kemp (R., N.Y.) advocated during the Reagan era. “Through these tax incentives, we will jumpstart our American communities, create momentum for economic recovery, and attract investment to diverse areas across our Nation.”

• Among his earliest acts, President Trump welcomed to the Oval Office the heads of historically black colleges and universities. He launched a White House office to assist HBCUs. These educators identified year-round Pell Grants as one initiative that sprang from their dialogue with these alleged racists.

President Trump has kept his promise to make HBCUs a priority of his Administration, signing the HBCU executive order just six weeks into his presidency — by far, the earliest of any president,” HBCU Digest reported in September. Trump also “ordered certain federal agencies to develop annual plans to boost the competitiveness of HBCUs — to date, 29 federal agencies have developed HBCU plans.”

• Trump made Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s burial site a national historic park. Obama had eight years to sign such a proclamation, but he couldn’t be bothered.

• Trump and Jared Kushner, his Orthodox Jewish son-in-law and senior adviser, consider criminal-justice reform a major issue. They are working with Congress to give second chances to nonviolent offenders, which would reunite tens of thousands of black families.

Of course, when all Americans win, black Americans win, too.

Step 1. Vote for Trump
Step 2. Troll
Step 3. Shoot at some Democrats

LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!

But we will note @dviss1, trolling is all this guy does.

As @CupWizier noted, Maris has basically become a caricature. He just wants to get a rise out of us, that's all. Boring.

It would be so nice if someone from the right would actually marshal real facts and arguments so we could have a real debate. All they seem to be able to do is post silly stories from questionable sources, shout, demean others, ignore facts, and defend Trump no matter what.

Debating with most of them (not all, Brian from Wa for example) has become mostly a waste of time.

I reply to @BrianFromWA @bodyman5000 and 1 @MarAzul @EL PRESIDENTE and most conservatives on this board but not Maris. The trolling stuff is just old, tired and never worth reading. He’s not blocked, I just skip his posts unless many others respond and then I might take a gander at what he posted.

Trump is the best president, for bringing out conservative racists and bigots into the light and exposing their idiocy to the world.

The sooner they all die, the better we'll be as a nation and as a species.

The defend Trump no matter what part is what bothers me.

Can't defend Stop and Frisk no matter how good it may or may not work.

Can't defend tweeting stuff like "horseface"

Can't defend John Bolton being allowed near the White House.

I draw my line differently then where @barfo @dviss1 or @julius do on liberal issues but all of us have posted against the libral line at times, some more than others. Just as you and most of the conservatives are t always lockstep with the party or with Trump. We are individuals and should be analyzing each action with a grain of salt. If there’s no ability to critique ones own “side” then their points become completely baseless and unworthy of spending time reading. I don’t have time to read every post on here so I gravitate towards posts of individuals with some actual reflection in their words.

What about harassing posters and trying to drive them away based on their race?

Obviously that is not allowed.

It's a very tough dance.

The harassment of minorities and staff in the OT section has grown into a huge problem. The gang of three are working overtime to be victims, which is very odd, but oh well, that's how they want to be portrayed. They do seemed to have taken a death pact so if one gets banned they all want to go together. Yesterday we had complaints about emojis and non political threads.

wait, who are the 3?

I want to be one that is referred to as “ Hoist on his own petard” or if we want to go from the past (Shakespeare) to the future (Star Trek) then “Hoist on his own Picard”.

I have never done any of these things, nor have I seen anyone else here do them, although I don't see a problem with Bolton's performance so far.

Trump is not someone I would invite into my home. Probably Ike and Jimmy are the only ones i would (have).

But I have no complaints about him keeping a record number of campaign promises and creating the fastest and most positive economic/national-security/civil rights comeback in my lifetime.

I am adamantly opposed to S&F simply because it's clearly UnConstitutional.

And yet...

Stop and Frisk was declared Constitutional by the ultra-liberal Earl Warren Court -SCOTUS in Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 (1968), (The Warren Court presided over a major shift in constitutional jurisprudence, and Warren wrote the majority opinion in landmark cases such as Brown v. Board of Education, Reynolds v. Sims, and Miranda v. Arizona. Warren also led the Warren Commission, a presidential commission that rubber-stamped the 1963 Deep State assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

But it has only ever been used on a large-scale basis in NYC under anti-2nd Amendment seditionist NY Billionaire Michael Bloomberg. As a major part of his racist gun-confiscation from poor people goal, it had zero effect on the already plummeting murder rate. The escalation of rapes in NYC being the only trend arising from it.

When pressed for time, I read threads opposing my viewpoint, in hope of learning something I don't already know.

Over the last few months, MARIS61 has repeatedly requested to me directly that his name be removed from an emoji that is continually used by posters and mods to personally insult him.

I just mock him and refuse, even though it's the right thing to do.

Fify. :MARIS:

Should I whitesplain or mansplain how pathetic and whiny your post sounds right now?

Maybe seeing as how none of the leftwing mods here (we have a Jeb Bush "conservative") can see the blatant bias in the moderating of the forum in political terms I'll use sports.

If this OT forum were the basketball forums instead it would be like having 60 Laker fans against 5 or 6 Blazer fans.

The special Laker fans of which there are a few (your minorities) constantly say in vague terms how stupid and anti Laker fans we blazer fans are.

Then other Laker fan mods afraid to speak out against other Laker fans like these posts which break the rules. Even to encourage these fans to post more. You know the world needs MORE special Laker fans.

The newest impartial Laker fan mod has in the past said we Blazer fans are scared of one of the special Laker fans when we disagree.

So, when the special Laker fans insult us Blazer fans we return in kind. Then if the leading Blazer fan says or tweets something offensive we need to prove we didn't vote for him. Hell, we can't even show Blazer highlights or Laker highlights because one special Laker fan says that is hypocritical. The new Laker mod agrees that Blazer fans shouldn't be allowed to show Laker highlights if we want to.

But of course any time a special Laker fan insults a Blazer fan and a Blazer fan responds, that Blazer fan is picking on the poor defenseless Laker fan.

Then the main mod will start rugby threads and soccer threads in the main forum. And randomly post other sports unrelated to a thread to protect the Laker fans from being harmed.

I suppose it all boils down to the ridiculous attack the post and not the poster rules and the enforcement of such.

The special Lakers love it so but do not like it when used on them.

There are a few Laker fans who will never get me to BE a Laker fan but actually have admitted they were wrong or disagreed with the prevailing hive mind of Laker fans. Most of the Laker fans I can set off at will by picking on one of their virtue signal programs.

It would be hilarious if it weren't so sad.

Still pretty funny.

Haven't you heard? Kennedy, like Elvis, is still alive.

I guess this proves you really do attend our Monday night meetings. I'm guessing you're the one wearing the Groucho disguise. How else could you catch onto us?

If a Blazer forum isn't meeting your Laker fan needs then go to a Laker forum. If a Blazer forum isn't meeting your political discussion needs then go to a political forum. If the Off Topic section isn't On Topic enough for your political needs then go to an Off Topic forum that is only On Topic about politics.

There are lots of forums and online communities available to where you can insult the fuck out of everyone. Unfortunately for you this is not one of those.
