German ambassador to US: 'Healthy relationship' between Trump, Merkel

Germany's ambassador to the U.S. on Wednesday said the relationship between Germany and the U.S. is “good and productive,” downplaying pointed rhetoric of late by President Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“This is a healthy relationship. Chancellor Merkel and the U.S. president, they have a good and productive relationship,” Ambassador Peter Wittig told CNN’s “New Day.”

"They met in Washington very extensively, they met now in Europe, they are on the phone frequently,” he said.​

And then the CNN hosts and talking heads pouted for an hour. This ambassador won't return as guest on CNN.

Kathy Griffin's actions were admonished by right and left alike. She was rightfully fired from the NYE gig. Stop trying to make it a divisive thing
 
Not defending what Kathy did. I’m just accepting who we are as a people. People push and test boundary lines all of the time, especially in highly competitive fields. The line is a moving target, constantly changing like the tides of the oceans.

Portland is a leader in pushing and testing boundary lines. And the people of Portland do not always get it right, just like Kathy. Kathy would feel right at home in Portland.
