Tulo trades talks heating up again...

Yeah I read about this this morning. Here's why I'd say no..............

#1 He's still do over $130M over the next 7 years. And $100M over the next 5 years.
#2 He's missed over 280 in the last 5 years
#3 He hasn't played over 130 games in a season since 2011

Bottom line, as good as he is, he can't stay off the DL.

...Oh, I like Tulo. And I wasn't suggesting that the Yanx deal for him and I understand the risks. I was only pointing to Cashman's likelihood of trading away valuable chips if they were to acquire Tulo.

...I still think the Korean SS that the Pirates picked up would have been a much better option than Gregorius.

...sigh.

...I said "if they were to acquire him". If he's traded, whatever team gets him will have to cough up some valuable trade chips because Colorado is not just going to give him away.

The Mets have had interest for several years now.

Yes, the Rockies will want a ton of talented Top Prospects for him......

this morn it was talk of the Mets trying to obtain Tulo......and yep, Cashman would have to trade the entire farm, to obtain Tulo......

Something I'd hate to see happen. Especially with his history for being injured.

Yeah, I hear ya'.....any great team has to have a great farm system, in time......those kids will be the face of the Franchise(s).....

Despite the injury background I'd like to see Tulo in Pinstripes but yeah Cashman would deal all the prospects and have the Rockies paying none of his salary.

This hypothetical trade isn't going to happen but if something weird does happen and the Yanks trade for him, I would lean opposite of your "proposal".

Cashman/Yanks would trade one (non TOP) good prospect and probably one or two "B" prospects and assume a good portion of his salary - which is why it isn't going to happen.

Wait so the SS plan was wrong and we should still have Greene?

"Look, all I want to know is what's that guys name playing 1st base?"

" What is on 2nd"

"I'm not asking you who's on 2nd"

"Who's on 1st"

"I don't know"

"He's on 3rd".

...not sure why anyone would think Cashman would be in any way frugal with trade chips.

And what the hell does THAT have to do with the price of a dozen eggs?

Are you okay? Weird.

You're not referring to Shane (4.71 ERA) Greene are you?
Who by the way...is only one good CC game away from eating CC's sh!t.

Send in more clowns......we need some help.

Who said he'd replace capn crunch? We wouldn't have didi, drew would be no worse at short and we'd have 1 of the 2 kids at second.

...the funny thing is, that simple concept has already been explained multiple times by multiple people.

I'd like tulle but the only way i do it is if the rockies accept yanks paying whole salary and b prospects back. If the rockies want more than that with tulo's injury history tell them to take a hike. In that case we still have the wonderful didi. :smiley-bash::smiley-bash::smiley-bash:

Another funny thing to consider is the Yanks probably weren't willing to go with a 32 yr old 5 mil $ dollar player coming off a .167 BA for one year at SS when Pirela is already HERE (2b) with Refsnyder knocking at the door - with the Yanks having already made the trade for a young SS "project" in exchange for the immortal Shane (4.71 ERA) Greene.

I know.....this doesn't fit into YOUR plan.

...uhhh, I'm not the one with the "plan"...that was your vision.

...and check your stats again, Greene's ERA is 4.21 and is run better than your boy CC's ERA. If you're going to be arrogant, you'd also better be accurate.

...I'm like tote...do you really want a DiDi vs Shane poll? DERP!
