Although, Canzano and Strong generally appear to be interchangeable entities. That said, tonight's game night.

Sounds like Greg is a Blazer through next season barring another huge setback.

I think that is a no-brainer in that if Paul Allen doesn't care about the money, then keeping Oden as an asset is good for either a trade or the team.

Larry Miller is right. Brandon Roy's presence has added $85MM to the value of this franchise.

I would be thrilled if Brandon played at a high enough level to be an All-Star level player. There really is no winner in a situation in which his contributions decline much below a level the Blazers are used to.

Probably, and he will still give them more exposure even if he is injured. His game is still going to be very good, just not top 10 NBA great.
 
I believe the team has given too much power to what BRoy wants. The guys plays like he did in Phoenix last season, which is barely effective, yet he wants the ball more. He is a average passer, plays slow, and doesn't run the offense like a point guard at all. The only time he has played well this year are when his jump shot is falling from outside. Teams are going to adjust and crowd him and he will not be a Allstar caliber player.

I don't see any reason for the team NOT to give a QO to Greg if the want to pay the money. 8.8 million expiring contract or match a reasonable offer from another team which will most likely be around the mid-level offer.

If that was true, I should have developed knee problems to the extent that I would have had to amputate my legs, about 20 years ago. :ohno:

I agree pretty much with what you say about Roy. I tried to be nice about it a few times and nearly got run off the board. Now that he's hurt, posters are less afraid to tell the truth of the matter.
 
Translation:

On Roy: "We're pretty much stuck with Roy because he's untradeable and we're sort of hoping that he takes a medical retirement in another year or two."

On Oden: "We have no plan, we're pretty much going all in on a pair of dueces."

The PHX example is a very bad one, if you don't know why you need need a better memory.

Why is it a bad example? BRoy wasn't effective in that series and I would argue he shot has been very good this year in a few games and it reflects in his stats as a excellent game, which is true. The way Roy gets good stats every year is by getting to the free throw line, which he seldom does now or hasn't much this year. He is very different, and my arguement is not to pile on the guy, but to move to a more team concept where is a part of, but not the main piece. LMA has been a more effective first option this year, then Roy and I don't believe LMA is a true first option player.
