Obviously with Mariano and Pettitte calling it quits...and the team missing the playoffs with a mediocre record along with the Arod situation....and our Great Captain Jeter in the final stage of his career --------------------

I'm kind of excited thinking about the beginning of the beginning of the next "Yankee Championship Team".

Time to move on.


In a weird way (not really)...it's kind of exciting thinking about filling in the blanks with new and up and coming players.......
.....kind of refreshing to have a NEW START...don't you agree?


Maybe a couple of the AA-AAA farmhands can make the jump and inject enthusiasm and excitement.

The Yankee farm system is now front and center--- and it's time for the Yankee "system" to step up and produce ! It is absoulutey scandalous how this organization has been unable to produce a SOLID MAINSTAY starting pitcher since Andy Pettitte....... OUTRAGEOUS !

Excited? not at all... the next possible contender is likely a good 5 years away if not more... and as others have said, we will not see anything close to what this team was...

Say goodbye to the Yankee Dynasty for a few years, not Hello for one maybe to come in 5 years. If you believe they will come.

I would not in any means say our Farm System if front and center, maybe so with its lack of true productive prosepects, lets be real.

Actually "excited", not much. Only to see The Captain play his last Hall of Fame year! Otherwise, I'm not reallly fully impressed, more with the Infield lack of good replacements. I don't see the prospects in the Infield farm club, to make a Yankee Dynasty,. like mentioned by several already. Let's face it, without Jeter, and a questionable Tex, Cano gone, A-Fraud as good as gone, (don't expect him back-would be in his best interest to retire, another story). Your right, Pitching is questionable now and on the horizon, unless something gives. I'd love to see Corbin and Jose Fernandez pursued for trades in the off season, in lieu of Tanaka, the Yanks could of acquired both, perhaps. If their clubs could of pried their bloody hands loose, unlikely, Strasburg is the future of the Nats, so pursue Gio Gonzalez, and Wacca from the Cards. I'm dreaming here! Goldschmidt at First, Trout in LF, cheaper than Gardner, at least THIS one year. Their is no replacement for Cano, maybe Brandon Phillips. Hanley Ramirez needs to stay in L.A. Puig is untouchable for several years, unless he wrecklessly ruins his career, or falls to over aggressive injury. Many proven third baseman are worth a look at, for trade bait and or money. I can't see Machado being let loose by Baltimore, or Zimmerman by DC, neither Aramis Ramirez would be tradeable. No Longoria, right now, maybe in a few years, we could see him in Thunder Alley. Maybe Omar Vizquel, perhaps can be easily and cheaply had, since he's now coaching in Detroit. He can play any position, 2nd no problem at 45+. Just Kidding...!!!
Time to move on. (v'e said as much before, my dream list, less Vizquel).

Overall a few of these kids, could be on our Roster, and when Aroldis Chapman is our new Fireman, then I will believe we are looking at the beginning of a great Yankee Dynasty, our Captain takes with him, a sad day, not just for Jeter, but for the Yankee Dynasty, Mo' reminded us so much of, with his own departure. Include, O'Neill, Williams, Posada, Pettite, Cano, Martinez, many Pitchers, some great Pens, and a couple other greats.

Houston has a better Farm Club, tho' it will be years before the Ryans, get that club back in order, (If the owner is willing to shed some payroll cash, as well as make trades, and bring in great prospect pitching, as Nolan did so handily in Texas). Now that's a farm club in the making, tho' they got to pick the weeds out of the Major League club first.

...for larger market teams to be consistently competitive, it pretty much has to be. You take your home grown talent when you can...if you don't produce your own talent you seek it elsewhere via trades/free agency.

Just don't give me an overhyped Free Agent, pay him 15-25 Million per year, only to find out he's Juicer, or blows a arm or other body part out.

I'd rather see FA's pursued who are in their prime, not at the end of it. All sentiments exactly. Looking at Beltran, he better produce.
