Chelsea Handler is in talks with CBS to join the network possible as a replacement for Craig Ferguson on the “Late Late Show,” a source told the Daily News.
But it is believed she’s also making a bid for David Letterman’s job when he steps down next year.
Ferguson has first right of refusal to take over Letterman’s “Late Show” next year when the longtime host retires next year, but CBS sources have said it is unlikely.
Handler’s own late night cable show on E!, “Chelsea Lately” is ending this year, according to reports.
