Deduno 4-4 3.90 ERA v.s Hughes 4-8 4.55 ERA

Cano looks to continue his hot hitting which was resulted in a Yankee batter finally being over the .300 mark.

Congrats to the timeless classic Mariano Rivera in registering his 30th save of the season as we head into the final two games before the break.

Lets just hope with Hughes on the mound that not to many balls leave the park.

Hope for a very solid outing even though it is the Twins. This guy needs to be traded and you don't want any perceived value completely destroyed.

I don't think they trade him, they hold on and tender an offer after the season and when he signs for more money elsewhere we use the draft choice... I wish they could send him to SD for Headley but its not close to Christmas.

SD would be a good landing spot for Hughes. He needs half his starts or so in a big ballpark. Another guy who also needs a change of scenery. That being said he will never be successful if he keeps on getting beat in 0-2 and 1-2 counts.

Solid two strike out inning from Hughes.

Holy shit! It just wouldn't be a Hughes game without him giving up one of those.

Hughes has pitched well. If this team could score we wouldn't be in trouble when other teams score two or more runs.

That one was bad and typical Hughes. Was hoping for a solid start to entice trade partners. Giving up three homers to Twins overshadows the ten strikeouts

I totally agree, 7 innings and 2 runs 10 K was all you could ask. With 4 days off coming up, Joe is saving the bullpen. With our hitting, three runs seem to be to much to ask. We don't even get balls to warning track anymore.
