American Ben Crane and Thailand's Pariya Junhasavasdikul now share the lead after 36 holes of the CIMB Asia-Pacific Classic in Malaysia. The event is being played at the Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed Mines Resort and Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur.

Crane carded a 7-under 64 and Pariya a 65 to go to 11-under 131 in steamy, hot conditions. The $6 million tournament - with $1 million going to the winner - is the first-ever PGA Tour-sanctioned event in Southeast Asia.

Crane posted seven birdies in his bogey-free round while Pariya had eight birdies and two bogeys in his round.

First-round leader Ricky Barnes posted a 69 and is a stroke behind at 132 along with fellow American Ryan Moore. Sweden's Carl Pettersson shot a 68 and is alone in fifth at 133. Australia's Adam Scott carded a 65 for a share of sixth with England's Luke Donald and American D.J. Trahan, who both shot 67s.
