MINNEAPOLIS -- Terry Porter spent 17 seasons in the NBA as a point guard, a two-time All-Star who helped Portland reach the NBA finals and was regarded as one of the smartest players at his position.
With helping Ricky Rubio make the transition from Spain to the United States one of David Kahn's biggest priorities, it's no wonder that Porter was the first person to get a formal interview for the Minnesota Timberwolves coaching vacancy.
A person with knowledge of the meeting told The Associated Press that Porter interviewed on Monday. The person requested anonymity because the team was not commenting publicly on the search process.

If Porter was given multiple times to fail like other coaches were he would probably be known as one of the best young coaches in the league. Instead, he gets a shitty Milwaukee team to the playoffs, and he gets a Phoenix team to a record above .500 and playing some resemblence of defense and gets fired.

His speech impediment makes him seem dumber than he is.

It seems to be going around. There's a current thread about Oden grunting in a song, and a thread a couple of days ago about Shaq, who will now be a TV regular, slurring his speech.

They can have him. I want a new sideline reporter.

I wouldn't mind seeing you in a skirt roaming the sidelines!
