Very odd. Tyree apparently is staying.

Oregon has granted a release to freshman linebacker Tyrell Robinson and the San Diego native will look to play his college football elsewhere.

Robinson's twin, Tyree Robinson, who also signed with Oregon, is NOT transferring from the program. Tyree is expected to contend for a starting spot in the secondary as a redshirt freshman.

A UO spokesman confirmed to Oregon Tuesday afternoon Tyrell Robinson has been granted his release to look at other colleges, but wouldn't comment any further.

Robinson contributed at linebacker in nine games last season as a true freshman for Oregon, and was credited with 12 tackles.

Coming out of high school, Robinson was a four-star recruit, and was the No. 134 overall player per the 247Sports Composite. He picked Oregon over offers from Washington and USC.

Rumors of another "transfer" soon leaving the program. This one would be an even bigger surprise.

bigger as in someone who is an established contributor? Or as a higher ranked kid coming out of HS who was looking to contribute?

I wonder if its someone else of the younger players, who were rumored to have gotten into a little trouble and were dealt with behind closed doors.

More along those lines, but I don't know who the second player is, other than it's a position of need where depth is a concern.

Mother F better not be Buckner, Armstead, or Balducci.

Although now that I think of it, thats a pretty deep squad with incoming dudes.

Another transfer after Tyrell? Yeeeesh what is going on!

Remind me of an offseason when any college football program in the history of ever didn't lose a couple kids to unforeseen attrition. With so many kids on a roster, it happens

The more i see this stuff the less confidence I have in the coaching staff

Let's see....we are coming off a disappointing season.....we have lost a variety of talent to graduation/injury/transfer.....and we are all still shook up over what has happened to the basketball program.

But hey, as long as you just don't care - you will never worry!

All of which is my subtle way of saying Ted Miller is being a putz!

How does Ted Miller (& the rest of the world) not understand or empathize with how terribly disappointing it was to endure a season where UO ended up the top ranked Pac 10/12 team for the umpteenth time in a row? Duck fans deserve a medal for how much they continue to have to put up with. What a big unfair jerk face Ted Miller is for calling out some Duck fans for acting like whiny babies over every single perceived negative minutia. Besides that being a god given right, why should those few have to enjoy the best run in school history?

We should hate that they're ranked so high in the offseason as it just sets them up for an epic fall. Everybody get off my lawn!
