...it would not surprise me one bit...I know the IF has some "?s", but I actually like the way the team is constructed.

From your mouth to Gods ears. It would be one helleva way for Jeter to go out. And judging by the way he got hit #3000 & the game he had that day, NOTHING! would surprise me.
 
Was watching the Jays Yankees game rebroadcast and all the Jays announcers could comment on was how much the Yankees would miss Cano. All the additions they picked up vastly outweigh that one subtraction. Staff, Catching and outfield are vastly improved, got some speed, and there will be more moves made. From the spring training games I've watched this team has some spunk and hustle that was lacking last season.

From your mouth to gods ears it would be a great way for Jeter to go out. I'm just really looking forward to what should be a much better year that last.

CC struggled, tanaka is a rookie, Nova still sucks and no real number 5 starter yet lots of reasons still to worry about pitching

Hughes still sucks is a factual statement regardless of where he plays but if you want to be trite then just insert Nova for Hughes and you get the same result.

I am an A's and Phillies guy but since my Phillies have become basically meaningless, I pretty much just root for the A's right now. ESPN tells me I should follow the Yankees their results suggest otherwise. Hopefully, they can be relevant again cause the league is more fun when you can hate the Yankees.

Please don't be offended by this but since you obviously know very little about the Yankees perhaps you should just continue following the A's.

As far as Hughes & Nova being the same......................

Hughes 4-14 with a 5.19 ERA & a 1.455 whip
Nova 9-6 with a 3.10 ERA & a 1.285 whip

Yeah, they're the same. Have you considered following another sport?

Hey look I am Ivan Nova in 2012 ERA 5.02 and whip 1.468 outside of a better win loss record Nova in 2012 was essentially Phil Hughes 2013.
Or remember 2009 and 10 when Hughes did not completely suck and he posted 3.03 ERA and a whip of 1.116 going 8-3 in 2009 and 4.19 in 2010 and a 1.248 whip going 18-8.

Both are wildly inconsistent. Maybe you should consider following another sport.

Okay, apparently you haven't embarrassed yourself enough, to be fair Nova has really only been in the league for 3 years so lets go with that 2011-2013 lets review

Nova = 37-18 with a combined 3.94 ERA
Hughes = 25-32 with a combined 5.07 ERA

Consider this an education..................................................................class...................................dismissed.

You could do that but then again you got to realize it took four years for Hughes to completely start sucking. So it could just be the league needs to time to figure him out and then wham. However, I will contend it is likely that Nova is a better pitcher still not one I want to lean on though in an important playoff game.
 
Just to be fair Nova- Hughes first 4 seasons

Nova 38-20 4.04 and 1.373 517 IP
Hughes 31-18 4.20 and 1.271 369 IP

Nova had a slightly better ERA and more Wins but he also had more starts while Hughes had better control.

For your sake I hope Nova is more the pitcher you saw in 2013 and not the one you saw in 2014.

What 4 years? He had an ERA near 5 in his 1st year & was 0-4 with an ERA over 6 in his 2nd year. Dude.........................PLEASE stop!

Yah then he posted an era under 3.2 and the next year had 18 wins.

While Nova posted a 4.5 ERA year one and an era over 5 year 3.

The point is after Hughes fourth season he pretty much fell apart.

Like I said I hope Nova does not become the next Hughes for your sake. I do not root for the Yanks so if he dominates bad for me and if he sucks good for me.

This is just to funny. Ron I know I should leave this alone but I've got to ask this kid one more question. Okay, why do you think Hughes had an 18 win season?
