How can a team with so much talent be so Jekyll and Hyde - like?...needless to say, something is missing.

It starts with Boone, but Cashman and Hal are just as culpable. And this franchise will not realize greatness again as long as the Steinbrenners are in charge.

You know Ron I think it’s a matter of looking at the roster and realizing they’re not as good as we thought. We knew Judge and Soto would be Judge and Soto. They were getting pretty good production from Stanton so his loss considering the makeup of this roster has been significant. The real issues in my eyes are as follows.

Verdugo who that thought would give them a stable bat in left has turned into a disaster. Just about absolutely no offensive production right now.

DJ is clearly absolutely shot. A lot of injuries and he had been on a decline to begin with. Now he’s another one offering little to no offensive production.

Gleyber is the biggest disappointment. A horrific season when they need him the most. Hasn’t lived up to what we thought he would be anyway.

Grisham isn’t as awful as things seem but he’s terribly exposed when forced into the everyday role.

On the pitching side they’re missing Schmidt
more than I thought they would. Mainly because Rodon is a huge disappointment and Cortes has been terribly inconsistent. There’s also a limited bullpen that needs major help.

Pretty much sums it up Mess...at this point, all we've got is Judge, Soto, and sometimes Volpe/Rice.
