Lillard has competition:

Anthony Davis tonight: 23 pts, 11rbs, 2assts, 5blks, 2stls

Well, I hate to say this but I think Lillard will hit that rookie wall faster than Davis will specaily sense there is limited help on Portland's bench.

Well at least you guys don't let just 1 fucking game sway you!

You know what else is out there Eric....... Delonte West's shotgun and case of rubbers!

We could lay down ground rules and get him help. He's a good player willing to play for minimum

Knock knock....... I'm here to help make your team better..

It is still AD's to lose, IMO. DL will make him earn it though.

Its ADs to lose because the media made it his to lose. I still think lillard wins if he can start getting a ton of assists.

If Davis goes 20/10 consistently, he's he RoY.

Whatever.

Monster! He's like what everyone dreamed Greg Oden would be. The Hornets are smart for not giving him MF surgery his first year in the NBA.

Happy for Monte, and for myself for having Davis on my S2 fantasy team. Lillard has some stiff competition indeed.

Waiters is playing pretty damn well.

Lillard: a few ups and downs are probably good for his development.
AD: seems like a good kid, if he does well, good for him (though I wish we'd sway LMA for him)
ROY: if we make playoffs DL will win ROY. It's not up to AD, it's up to Batum.
Waiters: He hit 7 3 pointers in his last game - most of the time with a hand up. He's not a smart player. He won't win ROY

NBA.com: The rookie ladder is updated on Tuesday's I believe:
Last Tuesday: DL, Waiters, AD.

If Lillard avgs 18/9 he would win over Davis avg 20/10. Thats mostly associated with the fact that accruing a lot of assists consistently is hard. Problem I see is I don't think Lillard can average 9 assists a game while I can see Davis averaging 20/10.

It's way too early in the season to worry about this shit.

Injuries happen, players hit the wall, and defenses learn to adjust to strengths and weaknesses.

If they keep playing this kid 39 minutes a game..... he'll be lucky to average 14/3! He'll breakdown by New Years!

NB3, the other night on TNT, Shaq said that Lillard reminds him of a right-handed Damon! Take that!

I'll take a right-handed Damon who has superior court vision!

Lillard has 5 inches on Damon and can shoot.

Damon may have had a faster first step, at least early in his career.

Don't count MKG out of that race. He's got a PER of 20.6 and plays lockdown defense. I've always been a huge fan.

Shaq also thinks Blake griffin has the best chance to be the best player in the world after lebron

You didn't seem as into him at draft time, or I could be mistaken through my cloud this evening?

I wanted MKG. Love Lillard as much as anyone, but I'd have given the moon to get to two and take MKG.
