Under Armour Inc. is bringing more of the fight to Nike's backyard.

The company on Monday confirmed it plans to grow its footwear and innovation operations in Portland, Ore. The confirmation followed Portland Business Journal inquiries last week about the sale of a nearly 70,000-square-foot former YMCA immediately south of downtown.

"As Under Armour continues its global expansion, Portland has emerged as a strategic hub for the brand, specifically in footwear and innovation," the company said in a statement. "We are excited to grow our footprint in the city."

Wow. And they have been buying up college basketball shirt deals from Adidas and Nike too.

UA doesn't even register with you guys does it? Shitty gear of you ask me. And I thought they already had some sort of headquarters in PDX already.

Under armour has great clothing and stuff for people of all genres.

The shoes need work, but as an apparel company they are top notch.

Nike clothes suck imo, but the basketball shoes are tight. The running shoes are also terrible for both companies. Brooks has them beat by a mile

If you actually workout, they have some nice apparel :devilwink:

I'm a fan of UA. Their compression and base layer stuff is nice.
