A number of countries introduced a UN resolution - not against death penalty in toto, but opposing execution of children, pregnant women, and the mentally disabled, as well as opposing death penalty for such "crimes" as apostasy, blasphemy, consenting adultery, and consenting same sex relations.

The U.S. joined with Saudi Arabia, China, and ten other countries in opposition.

Because nothing says "pro life" like executing pregnant women!

This administration agrees with those who say their religious freedom is violated by gay people getting married and women using birth control. In some countries people are executed for religious dissent. That, apparently, is OK. Just don't make someone bake a cake for gay couples!

The administration says that it opposed the resolution because it was overly broad and could be interpreted as being against the types of capital punishment allowed in this country, not because it supports the death penalty for the "crimes" you list.

Your angle on all your posts are interesting and always laughable. Thank you for the lolz

There's lots of exceptions to this. I'm just going off the info she provided.

Is a 16 year old who kills his whole family and eats them eligible?

If a woman had been involved in the Mandalay Bay shooting the other night and spent 10 years on death row and got knocked up one week prior to execution would that be a way to get out of it?

If I cloned HCP and stuck him in a surrogate mom on death row would that be two strikes against us if we executed her?

Sure, just a little bundle of tissue. How pregnant?

Let's pick a number.

A woman who gets pregnant is prison means she was raped. If that were to happen they would wait for to give birth and then proceed with the execution.

When you use the word fact for things that aren't facts it dilutes the word fact.

Put aside the obvious although miniscule chance the wicked woman being put to death rapes a guard, I can think of another way that wouldn't be rape.

On death row a prisoner wouldn't have the ability to assault a guard long enough to have sex.

There is no consensual sex in jail or prison between staff and prisoner. If if the prisoner begs for it, it is not consensual.
People smuggle drugs in, guards take money for it. You don't think there's a chance her boyfriend could payoff a guard for a half hour alone?

Facts are things that are 100 percent true.

Plus, we're talking about the UN. Other countries. Might be one of the perks of being a guard in Saudi Arabia.

Not on death row, dude.

Money.

Or she breaks out and gets caught a few days later.

Still can be a bamboo prison in a jungle. Doesn't have to be here. This is a worldwide thing we're talking about.

US death row. Could meet her boyfriend in a courthouse...shit happens.

HEY I NEVER SAID THAT MAN
I likely wouldn't do it because I'm not a monster.

If Ted Bundy got a female deathrow inmate knocked up right before her scheduled execution (let's say it was an accident, they put him in the wrong room with her) and she was 3 weeks pregnant at the time she was scheduled.... whatever. I wouldn't protest for sure.

The scenario you are fantasizing about would be prostitution. Again, since it involves someone in custody it is not consensual.

Breaking out is an entirely different situation and one that happened in a very famous case in Oregon. The prisoner escaped just to get pregnant. She was not on death row. If she had been on death row they would have waited for her to give birth and then execute her. No one is going to execute a pregnant woman in the United States.

That is a fact.

They're not going to put a death row inmate in the wrong cell with a woman.

You said a prisoner getting pregnant in prison is rape. As a fact. She could snuggle in semen with the heroin.

Or it could be an immaculate conception.

One never knows.

Space shuttles don't blow up...
Doctors never amputate the wrong limb....
Never never never.

You're the only one fixated on the US. I'm talking about developing countries. Or Russia.
