American soccer fans are such tools. Bunch of cracka azz crackaz

I especially hate the ones who ask me what my favorite team is and then they say no, I mean your favorite European team. I say no that is my favorite team. Fuck European teams!
I only buy bootleg shit off La Ramblas

I bought a Barcelona kit off of La Ramblas back in 1999, I think it is a real one that was a few years old.

Several months later someone used my credit card in fucking Russia! It was the last time I used one of those sliding credit card deals.

Sucks for the US, but if you, uh, can't beat Trinidad and Tobago with your once-every-four-years entry to the World Cup on the line, do you deserve to even be there? WTF are you doing against Argentina or Germany or Iceland if you can't beat a team whose national stadium holds 10k people?

Either put in an effort to produce decent players or shit can the whole thing and start over again. Im sick of the MLS crowd who tell me " Oh be patient and give it a couple of generations. The game will get there. " And then there's the too hip for school Euro-centro dipshits who only follow "good football." Yeah, If only you aren't a Yank and had grown up in Stoke..... you wouldn't have to apologize for us lame American plebs. Go fuck yourself.
Start promoting the Latin Game, get parents who don't know shit about soccer away from weekend play and build some futsol courts. Nothing will change unless we make it.

Love the futsol reference. Another Gladwell reader, or a soccer junkie? Or both?

I had to quit reading years ago because of medication and cognitive reasons. But yes, I'd say I am soccer junkie.

I've noticed that ESPN and NBC don't sell a Latin themed style of soccer and local authorities refuses to sell an affordable street syle of ball that futsal represents. The Premier League allows them to sell that "UEFA Football is best" dialog that hip sports fans buy into and lack of futsol courts means that poor kids aren't allowed to play after school. They have to join a youth league or academy team just to get a kick around. US soccer is a seasonal activity for advantaged middle class youth until they can pay for REAL sports like American football and basketball. It's almost an aberration.

it was Daniel Coyle in Talent Code, not Gladwell. My mistake.

Basically, the premise is that there are an inordinately high percentage of "top of their craft" people who come from talent "nexuses". Like how 11 of the top 22 players on the LPGA are from South Korea, or how Spartak, "a rundown tennis club (and that’s putting it politely) in a freezing climate which, with one indoor court" has in recent years produced more top-20 women players than the entire United States, or how Brazilian soccer players playing futsol do much more "deep practice" through concentrated play and myelin growth than US players, who generally work on conditioning and drills.

We would win the world cup if nurkic was on the team.

Some might say we could win the World Cup if our forwards were Odell Beckham and Russell Westbrook and Leonard Fournette, our keeper was LeBron, Mike Trout played played halfback, Gronk and JJ Watt were fullbacks, etc...

I know how much athletic prowess has much to do with it. Americans are known for being good athletes but they suck in first touch skills and technical development. You have to have a large amount of certified coaches in a FIFA endorsed program and your best players have to play in high competative environments. One Pulisic at Dortmund isn't as good as 12 failures at FC Haarlem or Ajax. Klinsmann made sure he instituted a certification program before he left but I still think their needs to be more done to encourage youth to play outside the US.

My daughter plays futsal during the winter and my wife plays on two coed teams years round. Love watching that shit!

The fuck is futsal? I thought that is what soccer hipsters use to seem more educated and worldy?

Oh yeah, we call that Manlet Ball on the streetz
