First Barkley with his tweeting. Now this.

Defensive Tackle- Jurrel Casey:

“They have a good running back and a good quarterback. Other than that, they’re really not that good,” Casey said.

Asked if he was tired of hearing about Oregon, which leads the NCAA in total offense and scoring offense, he told ESPNLosAngeles.com, “It gets kind of annoying to keep hearing about it, but let them do the talking and we’ll just go out there and show that we can stop them.”

Funny how I havent heard a peep from Oregon players... yet "let them do the talking" :dunno:

This isnt as obvious trash talk as the Tackle.. but why do these guys feel the need to run their mouths so much?

"We have speed also and we're going to utilize it and show this [Oregon] defense what they haven't been seeing this whole season," senior receiver Ronald Johnson said.

"We're going to throw things at them that they've never had thrown at them before," Johnson said. "I think we're going to really test them."

They don't appear to be a very disciplined lot of players.

I like his approach. He is ABSOLUTELY correct! Outside of Thomas and James, Oregon is trash. Pure trash.

If this is a shared opinion on the Trojan team (who by the way, lost to Stanford and Washington), I like our chances even more.

Someone should remind this schmuck that Oregon's defense is allowing 330 yards a game and 13 TD's, with second and third string seeing major time, while USC is allowing over 400 yards and 21 TD's. :ghoti:

this Shmuck needs to be reminded that he started the game last year at Autzen. He might remember that not very good team destroying him.

trash talk? Looks like a player saying encouraging words and feeling confident to me.

thats why I said it wasnt obvious trash talk. The other ones were.. but all could say they are showing "confidence"

Ronald Johnson's is more of a slight to the competition Oregon has played.. saying they are faster than them.

Bruised egos. That's all it is. USC is used to being one of the top programs in the country, and now they're just an afterthought. Their time is over, and as Carroll's recruits start to phase out, that team is going to crash and burn. Saturday is when they are going to be put in their place.

"they’re really not that good,"

(trăsh'tôk')
intr.v., -talked, -talk·ing, -talks.
To speak disparagingly, often insultingly or abusively about a person or group.

Oregon is 7-0, first in conference and in AP poll. To say 98% of the team is not that good, borders on trash talk.

Yes, however I was referring to Ronald Johnson's quote.

Casey's can be thought of as trash talk, but again, if I was him I would probably say the same thing in an effort to show that they aren't scared of the Ducks.

Gottcha. I so hope we pound those guys to smithereens.

Unfortunately, I think Barkley's arm keeps them in the game.

Kiffin will eventually get good recruits. Its not very hard to recruit at USC, with the location and tradition. Its the sanctions from the time where Carroll was cheating is whats hurting that program right now.

I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and think there's some kind of coach-sanctioned ploy in there, because it would be silly to admit that you know nothing about your opponent, even if unintentionally. Well I guess if the Ducks win, then they've graciously given us some ammunition to make fun of them with for the next year or two, depending on if it's Oregon's turn to skip them on the schedule.

And it continues yesterday at the "Jock Rally" I dont take offense to any of this... but these guys like to talk alot lol.

SC Special Teams coach:
"Just let it be known that we are SC," he said. "We'll always be SC. And they'll always be Ducks."Baxter made reference to a group that's "been talking about it" -- let me guess: Oregon? -- and saved a snarl for an ESPN host.

"You know College GameDay's here, and you know that Lee Corso can't wait to put that Duck head on."

Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey then ascended the ladder and warned that Oregon hadn't yet seen an offense or defense like USC's.

"Just let everybody know, it's hunting season," Casey said.
