Utah is considering a bill that will make it impossible to surf porn on cell phones in the state.

The state lawmakers, attacking online pornography, are proposing that all cellphones and tablets sold in the state block pornography automatically.

Critics have called this an intrusion on free speech, while those supporting it say the bill is aimed at protecting children. The issue faced a lot of opposition during the House committee hearing on Wednesday.

According to news reports, the state’s Republican governor Spencer Cox has till 25 March to either veto or sign the bill.

Jennifer Napier-Pearce, Mr Cox’s spokesperson, said in an email that Cox will “carefully consider this bill during the bill signing period.”

The bill requires that all cell phone and tablet manufacturers that intend to sell in the state use content filters to block porn. If the proposal is signed, it could mean that manufacturers who don’t use filters could face up to a couple thousand dollars in fines, according to reports. The manufacturers could also face a penalty if any child is exposed to the “harmful material.”

I wonder if manufacturers can put in content filters just for Utah phones or if it's easier and cheaper for them to just not sell phones in Utah. It's not a very populous state. I doubt they're going to try to block content in all phones nationwide

Or highspeed internet. I remember the days of dialup modem downloading a 10 minute porn video you'd have to be connected for hours. Then just when the downloading is almost done, I'd get disconnected because someone kept calling.

Sounds like some real sexual trauma.

I prefer even at 70, a naked only mud tent! Had a blast in one at Vortex and always wanted to do another. Flowers in her hair titties everywhere!
The mid to late sixties in the Bay Area were incredible.

That happened to me. One night I left it on all night and finally downloaded a single nude image of Amber Lynn. Glorious.

Does this include personal appearances? I'll have my scheduling agent modify my 2021 circuit.

how do you put flowers in her hair titties, and furthemore, what is a hair titty?

Actually, don't answer that.

They know it when they see it.
Like when high schools added filters and students couldn't research breast cancer.

Remember when Schindler's List was shown on TV and Republican senators threw a fit over full frontal nudity? The nudity was Jews being marched into gas chambers and Jewish slave laborers standing naked out in the winter for inspection to see if they were healthy enough to keep working. About as unsexy as you can imagine but it was called the worst thing ever shown on TV and there were attempts to sanction the network.
Will Utah ban Schindler's List?

It's when the flowing hair and titties become one piece of art. Close your eyes and ponder....

Pretty sure the Mormons would classify most of what's on youtube as porn as well.

Only problem is, it's a law that would be patently unconstitutional.

I remember the movie I Am Curious (Yellow). When that came out all the prudes said that was disgustingly gross. Now, it probably wouldn't even get an 'R' rating.

Funny thing is I've known more than one Mormon who was addicted to sex. Even in the days of Joseph Smith men had to 'service' several wives. Ah, the good ol' days.

That bill is going to take a few S2 posters to jail.

And how many years did that movie play at the Aladdin? Seemed like forever. At least the guy keeping the marquee updated had an easy job.........
