The Rio Grande Valley Vipers topped the Reno Bighorns 134-105 tonight at State Farm Arena.
The Vipers were led by Rockets assignment Terrence Jones with 27 points. Terrel Harris followed with 24 points, 11 rebounds in his return to the Rio Grande Valley. Andrew Goudelock tallied 23 points. Chris Johnson was 5 for 6 from three-point range and finished with 19 points. Vernon Macklin recorded 13 points, and Tim Ohlbrecht finished with 11 points.
Antoine Wright led the Bighorns with 25 points, followed by Patrick O'Bryant with 18 points. Samardo Samuels scored 17 points. Will Blalock added 12 points, while both Marcus Landry and Dontell Jefferson chipped in 11 points.
The Vipers' win was a defensive effort and held control of the lead throughout the game. They combined for 15 steals and forced 17 Reno turnovers. RGV also compiled 46 rebounds compared to the Bighorns 31 rebounds.
