Isn't it crazy what's been happening lately with the eruption of the volcano in Iceland? The cloud of ash created is pretty much covering all of Europe, with the exception of parts of southern Europe, basically south of Italy, Turkey, parts of Spain and Portugal and Greece.

What this means is for the past 3 days now airports have been closed all over Europe, with more than 20,000 flights canceled so far, millions of travelers stranded around the world not being able to go home, work, etc.

Here's the pics

This was earlier today, usually you have 1000+ flights all over Europe, especially norther part (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt), and as you can see it's pretty much dead there, no activity at all.

Crazy Ronan, saw it on one of the UK newspapers, in one of the eruptions (same volcano) about 150 yrs ago, it was so bad that it lasted for 1 year, and 22,000 British citizens died from it.

Hopefully this time all that is affected is the air travel.

Well you never know, anything can happen at any time! I live in Britain myself, but to be honest. Britain is Grounded.

Does the sky look different, or pretty much the same?

The cloud of ash is hanging from 18k to 33k feet. (pretty high I guess)

Where abouts you at?

I'm live in Reading and I haven't seen much day-to-day life effected. Hopefully my lungs aren't getting screwed as a post this.

It's always overcast here! xD

lol just hope it doesn't fall and cause breathing problems.

I think they got little bit of it in Scotland and officials are analyzing it to see what effects it'll have.

Tomorrow we'll hear that volcanic ash promotes a longer life. Vitamin stores will be selling bottles of it.

Do you get special access to traffic control things?

I don't think he has, As on the top-left of the picture it states a website. May get it of that site, don't you think?

That picture of the one guy standing there as the volcano explodes in front of him, pretty bad ass.
