Walsh, Thorn Defend Jason Kidd Against Early Criticism

Donnie Walsh and Rod Thorn defended Jason Kidd against anonymous comments made by an NBA scout suggesting that the first-year head coach of the Brooklyn Nets "doesn't do anything."

"I think he'll be a great coach, but you can't judge him on the first 10 games," said Walsh.

"He knows basketball, he gets instant respect from players because of who he is and what he's done, and I think he'll do very well," Rod Thorn said.
