Congratulations to chief spokesliar Karoline Leavitt on the birth of her baby daughter. Time goes fast. Before you know it, Ms. Leavitt, she will be ready for preschool. Tell me, how would you feel if, god forbid, someone dropped a bomb on her school, killing your little girl and all her classmates and teachers? And you heard a woman, a mother, defending it?

Thats awful and you cannot defend it. But that doesn't excuse the regime/IRG from killing their own teenagers/people from/protesting.
Free Iran

From what I'm hearing, Iran is yesterday's news. The Toddler In Chief's attention span is now being co-opted the possibility of a shiny new war with Cuba. You know, we fucked with Venezuela and more or less walked away, then it was Iran and we seem to be calling it good. Now we can be further distracted from high prices, the Epstein files and Presidential financial malfeasance by taking on Cuba. Nothing says Make America Great Again like getting our asses handed to us by Third World countries.......Trying to remember what it was like for America to win a war. But then, that was 9 years before I was born......

Iran, however, has not lost interest. And if you think Iran is tenacious, wait till you see Cubans

A tanker of oil is just a tanker of oil, but a good cigar is a smoke.

He's just trying to force them to do what he wants. They likely won't. Question is, will he really blow up the whole country or he is just blowing smoke? Also, do we even have the missiles to blow them up with? We kind of blew our load already.

Weaker of the House Johnson gushed that only Trump could get Iran to negotiate. Thanks to Trump's great leadership there is a deal although he doesn't know specifics. Neither apparently does anyone else.
Obama actually got a deal.

The Iran nuclear deal President Obama negotiated released $1.7 billion in frozen Iranian assets. And the right went ballistic. From Fox to Republicans including Trump, Obama is giving taxpayer money to Iranian terrorists. Although it was actually their money. Trump invented a fabrication about emptying bank vaults to send plane loads of currency to Iran, which is not the way international monetary transactions are processed. There were calls to impeach or even try Obama for treason.

The Trump deal frees $25 billion in assets to Iran.

Self defense? How far away is Iran?

Stopping them from laying mines in the straight might fall under defense. I don't know about taking out bases/missile systems unless they were shooting at our bases over there.

Country that lost the war pays reparations to country that won.

The US isn't "giving" Iran $300 billion. It's a proposed international investment/reconstruction fund (still being negotiated, details vague) plus unlocking Iran's own frozen assets.

LOL!

And how much is Israel contributing to this "international investment/reconstruction fund?"

Netanyahu orders Israeli army to seize ‘70% of Gaza Strip’, violating ceasefire deal

Speaking in West Bank settlement, Israeli PM, who is fighting for political survival before elections, says ‘we are squeezing Hamas’

Benjamin Netanyahu has said he has given orders to the Israeli army to seize control of 70% of the Gaza Strip in a move that threatens to torpedo an already fragile ceasefire and create catastrophic humanitarian conditions in the already devastated territory.

Under the US-brokered ceasefire in October, the Israeli army withdrew to a demarcation line which gave Israel direct control of 53% of the occupied territory. Since then, Israeli forces have steadily advanced their positions westward into the Hamas-controlled half of the strip, and declared an ever-expanded no man’s land west of that, within which they claim the right to decide who can enter and open fire on anyone perceived as a threat.

In recent days, Israeli-backed armed militias have taken a leading role in emptying the territory along the ceasefire line, telling residents to vacate their homes or shelters.

Throughout the eight months of the ceasefire, Israeli forces have continued to open fire on Palestinians within range of the “yellow line” splitting the strip, and carry out airstrikes deeper inside western Gaza, killing more than 900 Palestinians since the truce began.

Notice the move you just made. I pointed out your "$300 billion handout" was misleading, it's a proposed reconstruction fund plus Iran's own unfrozen assets, not a US check. You didn't defend the number. You cracked a joke about Israel and pasted a different article.

And the article you changed to? Netanyahu did say 70%. But the whole thing hangs on one word: "violating." That's the spin. The October deal wasn't "Israel sits at 53% forever", it was phased: Israel pulls back as Hamas disarms. Phase two has been frozen for months because Hamas won't give up its weapons. The disarm-first condition isn't even an Israeli talking point, Mladenov, who runs Trump's Board of Peace over the ceasefire, told the UN Security Council to use "every means at its disposal" to make Hamas disarm.
So Hamas is still armed, still sitting on its half of the strip, refusing to even open phase-two talks until Israel goes first. The 70% is the leverage answer to that. Is it past the October lines? Yes. But you don't get to call it a "violation" while ignoring that the other side froze the entire deal. Same as the $300B: post the headline, skip the context.

The link you shared states and I quote: "Two diplomats briefed on the latest draft called it “an international ‘investment fund,’ which the United States would help facilitate in the event of a final deal,” and plans for which would be discussed during the initial 60-day negotiations period that the memorandum would kick off, the report says."
My point is - tweet led to believe US is giving US money as reparations.. (crandc reaction comment).
I just clarified that is not the case.
And the Spurs are a force... Yikes.

Hilarious. Obama was criticized for releasing $1.4 billion in funds that was actually Iran's money.

That was one of Trump's biggest complaints about The JCPOA. That Obama released their own money back to them.

Now Trump is going to "raise" $300 billion to give to them. But that's cool...
