I think the term reparations is correct. US got asses handed to them. They want Strait reopened, which is return to status quo, and to do so have to release shit ton of money to Iran.

Yeah.. but it seems the deal is not signed yet.
I think Trump really doesnt want to resume armed conflict because of the oil prices effect, but I also not sure he will be willing to accept a deal that says Iran can have nuclear powers / borderline weapon.
Right now each side benefits from the low flames situation.
The question is will the flames subside or go full blown.. either way it cannot remain as is for much longer (2-6 months IMO).

Trump's big power move was renaming the Dept of Defense the Dept of War. He thought that'll scare em'! Then he discovered his toy soldiers and boats and played with them in Venezuela and Iran. Now he's bored with his toys and will leave them scattered all over for someone else to pick up. His wars look like the White house grounds with piles of crap all over the place where trees and gardens used to be.

As a thought experiment, imagine the reaction if a woman president started a war for no reason, then announced she was bored with it and wanted to concentrate on remodeling the White House.

I wouldn't worry until they started putting orange colored makeup on their face and hands.

Pentagon raised threat of Israeli spying on U.S. to highest level, sources say

The counterintelligence threat level was raised by the Defense Intelligence Agency in recent weeks after growing concerns that Israeli espionage had become more aggressive than usual, sources say.

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon is increasingly concerned about Israel ramping up its spying on the U.S., recently raising the counterintelligence threat level from America’s top ally in the Middle East to the highest level, according to two U.S. officials and one former U.S. official.

The Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency in recent weeks issued the new counterintelligence threat assessment amid rising tensions between Israel and the U.S. over the way forward in the war with Iran, the officials said. They said the DIA posted an internal message, viewed by one of the current officials, that raised the level for Israel to “critical.”

The designation stems from concerns within the Pentagon that Israel is making a particular effort to surveil top U.S. officials to get information on the Trump administration’s internal deliberations and decision-making on the conflicts in the Middle East, the officials said.

The DIA assessment includes a seven-page document and features a chart, according to one of the current U.S. officials. The document says the assessment of Israel is that its ability to conduct human espionage and technical collection is at a ”critical level,” according to the official.

It also identifies a series of specific incidents that heightened U.S. concerns, the official said.

Pentagon Sees Growing Espionage Threat From Israel

The Defense Department has increased the counterintelligence threat assessment to its highest level, and Israel is believed to have eavesdropped on American negotiations with Iran.

Recent U.S. intelligence reports have raised concerns about Israeli spy agencies eavesdropping on American negotiators working on a peace deal with Iran, amid rising concern over a more general counterintelligence threat by Israel.

Israel and the United States have long known, and tolerated, that each was spying on the other. But an intensified Israeli effort to learn about U.S. positions in talks with Iran has crossed a line, according to some American officials.

The reports include concerns that Israel has stepped up its efforts to eavesdrop on senior American officials, including Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s top negotiator, Elbridge A. Colby, the Pentagon’s top policy official, and one of his main deputies, Michael P. DiMino IV.

Another report, written by the Defense Intelligence Agency and other military intelligence offices and focused on earlier events going back several years, said that the counterintelligence threat level posed by Israel had been increased in recent weeks to the top level, from high to critical. The report, to which the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency contributed, outlines various efforts by Israel to spy on American military personnel and government officials.

The reports and the intensified concern about Israeli spying come at an especially sensitive time. Israel and the U.S. have been fighting the war against Iran together, and have never had such close military coordination as they do now, with Israeli military officers working side-by-side with their American counterparts at U.S. Central Command.

The U.S. military is sharing huge amounts of tactical and operational information with its Israeli counterparts. But senior American officials said that Israel is looking for insights into Mr. Trump’s strategy and shifting stances on the peace talks.

The new warning could potentially complicate efforts to further integrate military war planning between U.S. Central Command and Israel, especially if the Pentagon makes a decision to place new restrictions on information shared with Israeli officers.

There has already been tension between the two nations as Mr. Trump pursues a peace deal even as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel seeks to further degrade Iran’s capabilities, weaken or topple its theocratic government and assault Tehran’s proxy in Lebanon, Hezbollah.

The Defense Intelligence Agency report was drafted after incidents in which American defense personnel in Israel detected that software to tap their communications had been surreptitiously installed on their phones.

It is utterly appalling that America is FINALLY admitting what has been known for decades; Israel is NOT our friend and never really has been. The are a tick sucking the blood out of the American body and infecting it with radical Zionism. And when they get called on it they scream anti-Semitism. These people don't just want to own the Middle East, they want to own America, as if the world owes it to them. It's time to cut the cord and let these recalcitrant yahoos sink or swim on their own......I'm sure, like most Americans, most Israelis are nice folks. But just like the American government, the Israeli government is a bunch of narcissistic thugs who shit all over the people they were elected to serve.

So Iran just fired 10 rockets at Israel and Trump immediatly told Israel to not respond so as to not jeapordize potential agreement..
What does it mean? It means Israel lost the war.
Iran can fire at Israel as much as they like and Israel can't respond. Game over. Iran won. Because Trump is stupid.

I don’t believe Trump is commander in chief of Israel but I'll agree that he is indeed stupid!

Trump is stupid. Or he never would have attacked Iran in the first place.

But so many other reasons as well.
