BRoy and Andre: 60 points, 19-34 FG, 21-24 FT, 11 rebs, 11 asts

They had a good night together.

This win was as satisfying as the San Antonio one.

Warrior fans were going on and on about how Ellis is better than Roy after that loss we had at GS last month.

Take that, biatches.

I'm in San Jose and the W's are the "local" team for me so thank God I grew up in Salem and got my Blazer blood early. I can't imagine being a Warriors fan.

Ellis is a baller - there's no doubt about that. But man, just watching him on the court it's just so painfully obvious that he doesn't give a shit about playing for GSW - or maybe he just doesn't care about anything at all but himself. Seems like he's just got a really piss poor attitude . . . granted its contagious with the crew they have in Oakland but Ellis seems to care the least now that Capt. Jack has been booted outta here.

They're probably going to jettison A. Randolph and all his upside for something like a glock and case of beer. People bitch and moan about the Blazers issues - it's a friggin' mess in Oakland!

Are you watching the game? Bayless has missed a ton of shots and made a ton of mistakes. Luckily, we've played well enough to overcome it.

Yeah I watched the whole game. It wasn't good, but so fucking what?

Great night overall for the Blazers . . . topped off by the fact that the Rockets, Thunders, Suns and Jazz all lost tonight.

Nate actually smiled at the end of the game, like he couldn't even believe what's going on.

Talk about a tale of 2 seasons for Roy. November seems like forever ago. He looked so sluggish to start the season, and all the Brandon vs. Andre, can Brandon play with Oden?, Brandon's an anti-patriot . . .

Since December 1st . . . 15 straight games of 23 or more. I never would have thought the Rose Garden crown would be chanting "M-V-P" on January 2nd a month ago. Just. Wow.

I thought Cunningham had a very nice game. Those 10 boards were needed.....and pretty big.

I think, when the game was in doubt, the poster was concerned that we might lose due to Bayless' mistakes. Thankfully, we didn't.

That was me, and you are correct Speed.

I certainly wasn't implying that he needed to come out of the game. I was one of the Free Bayless no matter what guys. He's going to have stretches like this and he has to play through them. Can't a guy vent a little? It was driving me nuts that every time he touched the ball it was going the other way. I know he's got the green light right now, and I don't want to handcuff him. I was just pissed off.

Every time we play the Warriors that is how we should play them. 4 guards and let Oden/Pryzbilla/LMA play center.

Mostly what I noticed tonight was effort.

At the start of the game it was noticably lacking. I thought this was going to be another ass whooping like we got from Memphis in November.

Then....they got motivated and worked their butts off and won the game. Effort won that game...pure and simple.

We did to them what they did to us early in the year.

I certainly do not want to take anything away from the guys for a great win tonight - but you can't deny that GS just went dead cold after the 1st qtr. The W's hit just about everything in the 1st and, while we did turn up the D from then on, they still had a boat load of wide open looks that they couldn't convert on. Watson and Curry have been scoring pretty well of late and to have Watson go something like 0 for 8 is at least a bit of good luck on our side.

Also, having been at the last three Blazers/Warriors games in Oakland and questioning the BS calls we'd get in Oakland, I'd have to say that we got some good home calls tonight. The fouls were pretty lopsided in our favor tonight and that helped to keep us in the game in the first half . . . but the 4th qtr was just a good ol' fashion ass-whooping.

From Quick's recap, nice money quote at the end by Maggette.

Roy said he is being propelled by being part of such an inspiring story as the Blazers.

"It just seems like everyday is another blow," Roy said. "But our effort everyday is something to be proud of. We continue to fight. You see one guy trying so hard and you want to be a part of it. Dre (Miller) was out there scrapping ... Martell ... then young guys like D.C. (Cunningham). I was happy to be out there and a part of it."

Of course, Roy was more than just part of it. It was his fifth game of 30 points or more this season and it marked the 15th consecutive game in which he has scored 23 or more points, the longest active streak in the NBA. During that 15-game stretch, he is averaging 27.9 points.

"When you have Brandon Roy on your team, anything is possible," Golden State's Corey Maggette said.

The Warriors were reaching in on just about every drive the Blazers did and were reaching across the arm of the player. They're known for trying to steal/slap at the ball but tonight they were getting arm a lot. So that's why there were so many fouls against the Warriors and why the rank among the top of league for fouls per game.

We did to them what they did to us early in the year.

Yeah, it's eerily similar with a cornucopia of things in common. The winning team from both games had

1. Tons of injury, with only 8 available player on that night, one of which was a big who was obtained recently via the NBA hardship exemption.
2. All of their 8 player saw time on the floor.
3. A deficit in double digits after the end of the 1st quarter, looking like they were going to get blown out.
4. Scored 26 more points than their opponent for the rest of the game after the 1st quarter.
5. Their franchise player, who is a guard, score over 30 points.
6. Won on their homecourt.
7. Played undersized for most of the night.
8. Had a starting big man get yanked in the first quarter and play only single digit minutes for the whole game.
9. Lost the jump ball at the beginning of the game.
10. Their starting small forward make 4 threes in the game and score over 20.
