Gilbert's knee has undergone another procedure: a draining of his left knee. Obviously, the New Jersey Nets have caught a huge break if Gilbert is not 100%. The Wizards have been absolutely terrible this year, going 0-3. This has been compounded by Gilbert's inability to his a 3, going 1-17 from behind the arc. The Nets, though not living up to expectations, have not been horrible: their only loss was a 69-106 blow out loss to the Toronto Raptors. Which Nets team will show up today? I'm guessing the former.

Wizards have got to start playing their type of basketball starting today. Our offense has been slow and in-effecient while our defense is as awful as usual. We need some more energetic play from the role-players and Gilbert/Antawn need to find their stroke. I could see us winning today, we just need our offense to get easy buckets in transition and not let up 200+ open three's. Cmon Wiz, get the win on my birthday.

Why is Kidd always the best rebounder in this team.

I love how I am in Washington, a Nets fan, and I won't get the game, because I don't get CSN, and it's going to be blacked out on NBA LP Broadband.

Use Sopcast. The delay is usually only a minute or two.

Unfortuneatley, sopcast is the best you can do right now.

Go Nets!

Tonights game really opens up for Magloire to break out IMO.

we need an underground nets gamecast, i'd donate.

QUOTE (CelticKing)

Should be an easy win for the Nets.

Don't count on that, despite the Wizards slow start there's always nights that our team can't miss a shot.

Arenas, yes. Everyone out shooting lights out? Nah.

QUOTE (CelticKing)

Arenas won't be 100%, thats why it'll be an easy W.

I don't think any of you guys have ever watched the Wizards play. Even without Arenas at 100%, both Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison are capable of lighting up the floor. That's not neccesarily going to happen but don't count on breezing to a win. This Nets team has under-achieved since Vince Carter got there, they're not nearly as good as they look on paper, by no means are they good enough to walk all over the Wizards even with potentially only 2/3 of the Wizards big three on the court. I'm not saying the Wizards will win this game but I seriousely doubt this Nets team will dominate us.

Damn! Won't be able to watch this game live. I'll watch it after though. That means I won't be able to participate in this thread, unfortunately.

Great game breakdown, mynetsforlife. It'd be nice if you included opposing FG% as well, to see how team defense is. Also love the team pictures.

mynetsforlife is a cheater. With his damn dreamweaver.

Still, great looking table. I love how "Gilbert Arenas' Knee" is an X-Factor.

This will be a good game, with or without a 100% Arenas. Wouldn't be surprised if Daniels smacked us, too (knock on wood).

Thanks, it looks like Washington is a good rebounding team. Gotta watch out for that.

Once certain players warm to the Offense (Carter, Krstic, Bigs) I expect our FG% to increase.

Brendan Haywood has been the sole reason for our rebounding. The only three people who focus on rebounding on this team are Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison, and Haywood. You don't need to worry about the Wizards dominating you on the offensive glass unless Haywood has a big night.

I'm gonna guess Cat will get his minutes tonight.

Easy win for the Nets, with or without Arenas. We were always the better team.

If I'm not imagining things, I remember a couple of tough games against Washington where Arenas wasn't playing. I believe either Jamison or Butler were torching us at the time.

I hope so. Cat vs. Haywood would be a great matchup. I wonder who would turn out to be the better rebounder.

Speaking of matchups...mynetsforlife, your keymatchups says "SF"...it should be "PG"!

Well shoot if we don't have to worry about rebounding this should be very doable. Hopefully Magloire can capitalize on this.
