Dunno. seems like it is. anyone watch this or actually follow this shit before?

passed by a movie theater the other day bunch o' fucking nerds waiting in line.

I'm not into the Watchmen, and I don't plan to see the movie...but I heard that the director changed the graphic novel version ending and that has a lot of Watchmen fans up in arms. A friend of mine, who is into the Watchmen, linked me to this...which I think is funny, whether or not you care about the movie:

<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/vIhHema5PNg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/vIhHema5PNg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

That's nice. Nerds make all the cool shit in the world anyhow. :tsktsk:

I saw the movie and liked it very much. But then again, I knew I was going to like it when a previewer said it was filled with nothing but violence, gore, and sex. What else is there?

LOL @ "graphic novels". do any of you actually read these things? I mean I did when I was like 12....but now, nah.

I plan to see the movie and get the graphic novel because it is very well written from what i heard.

did you ever hear about watchmen before the movie started? one of the guys looks like batman.

I had, but i was born in 89 so it came out 4 years before i was born. At 13 I heard about it, but then forgot about it til about last year. And which guy.

has a mask and a cape. saw in the commercials. i was under the impression the whole thing was about superheros that already existed like baman....and that one dude looks like silver surfer...the silver guy.

It is more a deconstruction of superheroes. But I'll tell you what I tihnk of the movie when i see it.

Actually the Watchmen graphic novel is considered to be a literary gem. It is a very famous, and very popular. But you know, you are so much cooler than everybody else, that you can skip it if you want. :drumroll:

i saw the previews, never heard of them. maybe because i'm not cool enough to be "in the know".

literary gem? haha. comic books can be literary gems now? what are other "masterpieces" in the comic book world?

It was on the Time magazine list of top 100 novels or something like that. Only comic on the list, that's why I read it. It's pretty good but I really don't think there was a movie in it so I'm afraid I'm going to be really disappointed when I eventually see the movie.

And 300 was crap so it's got that against it too.

was 300 a graphic novel too?

Yeah, and the movie was made by the same guys who made Watchmen.

Sin City and Spirit were also graphic novels. I haven't seen Spirit but judging by the commercials and Sin City, Frank Miller does a better job of adapting the comic to the big screen.

Hell Boy, also, I believe was a graphic novel. Popular thing, these days, to adapt them into movies.

I thought Sin City was great. 300 wasn't all that good, but still nice visual candy with all the CGI and cinematography.

Agreed. Repped.

The graphic novel is fucking amazing, so I'm going to have to see this movie. At least it's not a let down like Dragonball will be...

I've always wondered what the original Hitler clip is from... it's been adapted for so many things. I saw it adapted for World of Warcraft too.

I assumed it was from Valkyrie, from last year. I didn't see that, so I dunno.

No no no... it appears to be some low budget film... maybe a made for TV movie. The clip came out before Valkyrie was released in theaters.

Der Untergang is a great movie in its own right. Then again, Alexandra Maria Lara makes almost any movie worth watching.

my friend went to it in imax, and some guy sitting next to him was drunk and threw up all over the place, then tried to squeeze his way past everyone, only to try and sit down in a seat with somebody already in it. they got there late so they had to sit in the front row and stare straight up the whole time. not to mention there is apparently a nude man for much of the film, so he was basically being engulfed by a 15 foot cock for 3 hours.
