Here's my ridiculous suggestion: Shaedon for Collin Murray-Boyles.

I really wanted him in the draft and he seems like he'd be the perfect small-ball center for us. Of course, this would make a lot more sense if we'd've hung on to Cedric Coward...

We now have all “in option” available at anytime over the next 3-4 years. We have good young tradable players Sharpe,Scoot, Tou, Deni, Clingan, Yang etc and a lot of draft picks/pick swaps. Biggest issue is our large contracts like Grant and Jrue have 3 years left on contracts. We also have Williams 1 year remaining

Booker intrigues me and obviously Giannis. That said I’m pretty hope with what we’ve built so would continue with our group.

Booker or another SG seem like the most likely spot to upgrade as currently constructed. I'm not at all worried about Sharpe's poor shooting to start the year, but can see a big move for someone like Booker to push us forward, landing that go-to scorer. Or someone like Jaylen Brown

Booker would be a huge get and costly. Not sure Joe has the stomach for it.

The only trade they should be considering is an all-in trade for a #1 option. Barring that, there is no one that would be worth trading for.

This is one of my hobbies, boss

Didn't we learn anything from Milwaukie's "all or nothing" fubar??? Screw "all" in for a shot at (most likely) a single chip. We have some good young pieces, many of whom are on the same time line (and who really seem to enjoy playing together). Joe should trade for complimentary pieces to the core we already have, and we have an excellent chance of making serious noise for a string of years, instead of gambling on broken down pieces that will just set us back to where we came from. Jeezus, I'm a 71 year old man. If I can afford to be patient while they build the "right" way, then so can all you "kids"........

I totally agree. We need to hold onto all of our young talent. If anything we should trade our older players at the deadline to teams who want to go all or nothing right now, not be the team making that short sighted mistake.

I want to see what we already have for 25 games before I go trade crazy ...at the deadline, we may move a vet or two. Grant is building value.

If we are going to go all-in at some point, we need that player to be someone who can hit a damned jumpshot. I love the focus on defense, but we desperately need some shooting as well. The "Oops! All Defense" team can only take you so far. Thus, I am putting the kibosh on CMB talk.

Watch the video - he hits three 3s!

Hey guys, I know just the guy to get!
Older vet and great leader.
Elite shooting.
Not a very good defender, but elite shooters that are plus defenders are mvp type.
Super clutch.
Knows the terrain and has history with Portland.

Anyone heard of the player Damian Lillard?
He is pretty good and does what most in here are saying we need, it seems.

How many of our young guys would we need to give up to get him on the court and in a Blazers uniform by the start of next season?

But it will be different here!!1!1!

If we can get off either Grant or Jrue contract I'd trade them ASAP.
I think it could happen around Christmas. Not too many trades happen early in the seaon but who knows. I do agree with you and I have to think if Joe can get even a semi decent return he'll move both of them.

Dame isn’t a plus defender.
