Weapons stolen from Massachusetts Army Reserve building

Every year, every lab producing nuclear weapons reports a lot of nuclear material missing. It's consistent year after year, factory after factory, country after country. Just some info for those who question why UFOs would stop here at Earth.

As for this thread, maybe they need some nuclear antitank rounds to shoot at each other out in the Asteroids. Play stuff that can't hurt their shields. They probably love to practice and pretend it's us.

Come on Denny, that one was worth ten bucks.

If there is highly intelligent life technologically capable of traveling to earth, then we are the practice.

Things you could expect to see in an Army reserve armory:

M4 rifles
M249 squad automatic weapons
Maybe a 240 bravo

Could be a good haul. Hopefully those don't end up being used on the streets after this whole thing in Paris.

Most articles say that the FBI hasn't announced which weapons were stolen, but this is the best article I saw. It gives the complete list, and says why there was no burglar alarm. I infer that a construction worker stole them.

Six M4 assault rifles, 10 pistols, and several long guns were taken from the armory, according to the source. The break-in was discovered Sunday morning. The armory’s alarms did not go off, according to the source, who added they may have been disabled due to continuing construction.

That's not that bad. The M4's might have a three round burst option, but losing a few M4's and some pistols and sniper rifles or M14's isn't that bad.
Thats right cause 3 round bursts cant shoot up a school like a fully auto.

The building was pretty decrepit but I was able to find an incomplete set of T-51 power armour and a few desk fans I could scrap for screws.

East, buddy,,,you are talking to some of these guys whose only exposure to weapons is playing Halo..

The real news here is that Massachusetts no longer has a well-regulated militia, and is thus no longer secure. No doubt foreign invaders will soon enslave the people of Massachusetts.

Not like a 249 or 240B machine gun, which could have VERY easily been in an armory.

Belted 7.62mm is kind of a b*tch to find cheap. You can't even steal Eastern Bloc ammo for it.

I've never understood why people think squeezing and holding a trigger is more deadly than pulling the trigger multiple times. Either way you are shooting projectiles at a fast Pace.

And normally soldiers are trained to shoot "single fire" because you can focus in on targets. Spray firing isn't as effective.

Right. Full auto is for suppressive fire I.e. get people hiding so the accurate guns can get in position to make the kill.
BINGO!!! That's why the M-1 was such an efficient long rifle because it was extremely accurate and reliable.

Once again while I dont need a fully auto weapon im not sure why the ban on them is necessary. Criminals still get full autos to do their drive bys.

I just dont get the automatic weapons ban. Ok, so I dont own a full auto rifle but criminals get them all the time. This makes you feel safe?

Because one comes with a box mag and one does not. The M249 box mag holds 200 rounds.

You're thinking tactically. If someone walked into a crowded venue like the one in Paris with a fully loaded M249, that's 200 rounds at their disposal before they have to reload. In terms of a terror weapon, it's going to be able to inflict a lot of damage in a short period of time in a venue like that.

sure but so would a standard semi auto rifle with a bunch of clips. it takes 2 seconds to swap a clip out. it's just more irrational fear ingrained into your bleeding liberal heart.

now if they were unloading on armed citizens who could unload back, that'd be a difference maker more so than their round capacity or rate of fire.

Why does everyone assume that I'm a bleeding liberal? I own many guns. I have a CHL. I am an NRA instructor.

Sorry, I think a M249 loaded to capacity is a better weapon if I was going to walk into a crowded venue and just open up point blank. I would LOVE to see you reload in 2 seconds. Who do you think you are, Chris Costa and Travis Haley?

I agree with you somewhat I just hate when liberals spout off about fully autos and banning them was a big step in gun control. Hurray, now criminals are the only ones with autos.

Actually, I don't think they are banned. As I understand, you can own some if you get the Tax Stamp required. You just can't find anyone that will issue the Stamp. So there is no infringement
of the 2nd. It is just a failure of administration to perform.

What the hell, I prefer a .270 for long work anyway, where one shot is all you need. Even semi autos are a pain in the ass. I find I need to cycle each magazine load through the action to insure it will not jam. That way every round in the magazine is known to work though the action. Don't need to bother with that step with a lever action and it is even better when it shoot the same stuff as your hand gun.

They ARE banned. New ones anyway. That's why you can only buy automatics made before a certain date, and then you have to have that tax stamp to buy/own one.

Guns registered prior to May 19th, 1986 that are able to be owned by everyone. There are only 182,619 transferable machine guns according to the ATF.

Ah! I stand corrected. Well all that tax stamp shit was to avoid infringement. What happened, they just put in a law and don't give a damn that it infringes on the 2nd amendment?
