Sheeit... I remember a couple weeks ago waking up in the middle of the night and I see a cockroach right next to me on my bed, I got up, turned on the lights and smacked it with my shoe. I was definitely paranoid for the rest of the night though, because I didn't see where it went after it hit the ground.
