Well here is a proposal to think about

Not saying I like just saying a trial ballon rumor is being floated. With Neil in trouble does he have any authority to make any trade at this point in time. Article suggests this would be a start of a rebuild for the team

Why is it that every single rumor regarding a trade for Dame ends up with the Blazers getting screwed? Just once I'd like to see one that didn't propose offloading a problem player on the Blazers. We could even have one that favored the Blazers for a change. How about Dame for KD? If Philly wants him so bad, how about Dame for Embiid and a first rounder?

Come on, anyone can float a rumor, this is utter bullshit and does not deserve a thread

Dame and roco for kd and were contenders.

Little/Snell
Kd/Nance jr.
Nurk/zeller

Or maybe not?

Author of article did not do any homework. Bruce Brown is restricted and cannot even be traded until January 22, 2022

Hey I am sure this rumor was floated by New Jersey not us. I think it shows that they think our GM might consider it. I mean he has made such great deals in the past. (sarcastic)

It's funny, I was just thinking that New Jersey might consider a Kyrie for CJ trade, because CJ is basically a poor man's Kyrie (without the crazy and the constant boo boos):

I figured a team in Texas might welcome Kyrie, that being the anti-vax state. Of course then the Rockets would have Kyrie Irving and John Wall soaking up coming on $80M in annual salary...

Main appeal: we would be getting back one of the draft picks we gave up for RoCo!

They could trade Wall for Irving

John Wall isn’t expected to play for the Rockets this season and it doesn’t appear any teams are willing to gamble on his contract, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said on tonight’s “NBA Countdown.” (Hat tip to Doric Sam of Bleacher Report) “There are no plans for John Wall to play for the Rockets, and it’s becoming increasingly likely that John Wall may not play anywhere in the NBA this season because the cost of his contract right now is just too prohibitive,” Wojnarowski said

That is arguably one of the dumbest trade suggestions ever uttered in the English language. And that includes the suggestion of bringing back Meyers Leonard.

Was bringing back Meyers a trade suggestion?

Or a free agent signing?

Id bring him back. Just to try to regain any value in my jersey. i think @Eastoff would also welcome this. Lol.

Look, CJ isn't going anywhere. Not while Neil is in charge. His ego is waaaaay too big to, essentially, admit his roster construction was poor by trading CJ. Remember, Neil was adamant that the roster was not the problem then proceeded to throw Stotts under the bus. You think a guy like Neil will make an about face? No fucking way.

CJ has some value but his contract raises eyebrows. Any deal with CJ would really have to be sweetened with other assets, like first round picks. Does Portland even have any? It's going to be a long season.
