He should give back half his absurd salary.

He should give back half his absurd salary.
Disappointing that it took him over a year to follow through on his promise, and quite telling that he kept the money rather than donate it to charity.
BTW, my "conspiracy theory" is..........
Matthews was actually signed when Buchanan and Born had thought the Blazers had a legitimate chance of trading for Paul....but would cost us Roy. In that scenario, Matthews was actually slated to be our starting SG.
Then, the Paul deal fell through, the Hornets GM was fired....so here we are.![]()
If NO was shedding salary, why in the world would they have taken back Roy's brand-new max contract in exchange for Paul?

It's possible if New Orleans weren't trying to shed salary, but rather locking in a star who can't flee their clutches in a year or two. Plus, Roy would have allowed them to play Collison in the starting lineup alongside him.
If New Orleans were simply trying to dump salary then yes, no way they'd consider Roy.
I can never tell if you are serious or being sarcastic. If you are serious then........WTF are you talking about? Making the rookie minimum for 9 months does not qualify for making it "big".
According to Matthews, what he told her was "when I get to the NBA".
