Some people have said that the west is weaker this year because there are less teams that have as high records  as those on the East coast.  I've read over and over again, not here, that the East has caught up and passed the West in overall talent level. 
Then I look at the standings, should Denver finish losing tonight to LA, they are down 20 so I figure it's safe to say, there will be 5 of the 8 teams all have 8 wins and 5 losses. Another, New Orleans, is 6 and 5 they haven't played as many games, but many expect them to be the tops in the NBA.
To me it really looks like the top teams in the West are really beating up on each other. I love the fact that our Blazers are right there in the middle of it.
