We've become Miami West-- Players only meeting after the game tonight

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

I'm sure everything will set aright after this. 18-0 baby!

the team should trade for Steve Blake, have him kick over a bench, waive him, not tell Andre Miller and then tell him Blake is starting and then have Andre Miller blow up and yell at the coach.

One thing that might come out of this is that the players have realized the coach isn't always right and his pleas for "scrappiness" are getting old. Maybe there's more to the speculation that they're tuning the staff out, and they want to figure out answers on their own.

The last time I remember a Blazer team holding a PoM was when Cheeks was around.

Could this signify the end of Nate?

Players only meeting.

That is a joke.

Unless it's a blanket party for Brandon, it will be totally ineffective.

Nate has shown he can let these guys fly on occasion, but it's always been Brandon who slows everything down again. Nate caters to Brandon. Brandon can't run (or walk).

Nothing against Brandon, but he's got $100M+....go away and enjoy the money and have a good life. Let the rest of us try to enjoy some Blazer seasons without you dragging the team down just because you want to play basketball.

It's a good sign. We're not going quietly into the night. I like the fact there's still fight in this team. They've been given enough excuses to quit long ago.

It would be great if this would motivate LMA and/or Batum to become more asertive and consistent, but that isn't their personality.

For good or ill, this is Roy's team. When he was one of the top 10-15 players in the league, that sorta worked. Now?????

oh to be a fly on the wall in that one...

Why would you Laugh your ass off? Isn't this a good thing?

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing ... if the team goes on a run we'll probably all reflect back and point to this being the turning point of the season, if not then it'll be just another blip in a turbulent season.

had to laugh a little at the pot/kettle in this one tho....
"The culprit?........Lack of rhythm, added Brandon Roy."

Screw the PR departments' courage talk, it's the lack of cohesion on the court that's killing the Blazers.

I'm kind of proud of these guys realizing something is wrong and needing to get to the bottom of it.

I don't think Pattycakes will be the guy sent to the D-League as punishment. Hes the only 15th player off the bench to come out to the court and high five to his teammates on a timeout. :D

I really don't see what you find so funny. Do you expect the players to not try to fix things? Is everything just futile to you?

PoMs are generally empty gestures held by teams that don't have enough chemistry and don't get along with each other. They're also a sign that the players have begun to tune out the coach's repetitive pleas for "scrappiness," and instead want to figure out a solution on their own, because they don't think the coach has answers.

But I was mostly laughing because I had called this happening on another board.

We just need to make shots. That's what our illustrious leader says

Funny you say that. Because the reserves have been struggling to score, the one thing the team knows Patty can do, is shoot and score. He also provides a speed boost that the second unit currently does not have. Speed is a good thing in NBA ball.

I think we've only really seen Patty in garbage minutes, so it would be interesting to see what he can do if he were given a bigger role, but I have to think that McMillan would play Mills if he truly thought that he was capable of contributing.

Like I was sayin...

MIA at least went out and blew out their next opponent after their meeting.

It was useless, sure, but i don't think it was an empty gesture... it was probably heartfelt for them. It just didn't help.
