People who've been paying attention to college and European players (which, despite what some people might think, does not include me), discuss.

if Blazers had 1st pick, probably Dybantsa or Peterson but that's the easy call. I saw Boozer play but was not impressed

if Portland picks 12-13 I don't know who will be available. Dailyn Swain looked pretty interesting in the Texas game I saw, but I don't know where's he's slotted. Same for Yaxel Lendeborg. Maybe Swain can play SG? Lendeborg looks like a PF

Peterson looks so smooth but damn I’d be nervous with his time at Kansas, subbing himself out of games and not returning and then his play during last March madness game. He disappeared but I thought same thing about Cade Cunningham when Beavers beat his team. Definitely some red flags but obvious talent is there, reminds me a lot of Kawhi and some Kobeto his game.

That said we aren’t getting top pick so I’d look for a high energy power forward or a disturbing PG

Hey numb nuts, there already is a 2026 draft thread.

I don't really care about where the player is mocked, I want fit with the core we have. Boozer would fill a gap of low post scoring (and shoots well?) but I've seen people trashing his D. (He strikes me as this draft"s Sengun - great advanced stats but doubts about D)

I think Boozer is a safe bet. He will be a good NBA player. But based on the thread topic, I agree that Dybantsa or Peterson fits a bigger need for the current roster. Peterson particularly. His interview could be important, though. But damn, he is talented.

I've only seen probably 20 minutes of him. He kind of reminded me of Anthony Edwards

I think AJ Dybantsa is the best player in this draft, so he would be the guy I'd want our team to take with the first pick. I wouldn't be mad about Darryn Peterson if we had the first but he, to me, is clearly the second best player in the draft.

I don't love Cam Boozer's lack of athleticism and vertical explosivity and even though he's highly skilled and brings shooting that we need I'd take the upside of Caleb Wilson if we had the 3rd or 4th pick.

If we miss the play-offs and stay where we're at I'd take Yaxel Lendeborg if he's still there and if not I might trade back a few spots and take his teammate Morez Johnson Jr. who projects as a legit small ball big who might be a great complement to Clingan coming off the bench.
