Al I would have loved someone to cross-check, sucker punch, fight, tackle, etc Eakin after that. Show some fuckin balls.. This is hockey, not fucking Cricket... It was a vicious headshot that could have ended Henrik's career... I'm amazed he came back to play. Look at the replay, every angle shows full contact to the head/neck. Eakin even left his fucking feet to make the hit..

This is sends a message to other teams that the Rangers are soft. McD got steamrolled in 2015 .. Wasn't the same when he came back, Stepan got blasted last year, Girardi got hit in the head by pussy Brian Boyle, Hank gets hit in the head...any one of those shots could have gave any of those players a concussion like Mike Sauer and ended their career. I've never seen a goalie take a shot like that. Much worse than Lucic hitting Miller

Nah. Al only looks at mid season records and the standings. He ignores the fact that this team under AV is constantly taped together by the time the playoffs start or by the second round because of liberties taken with our players.

I've never put much stock in the theory that McIlrath (or someone like him) would necessarily be a deterrent but I do 100% believe if he was on the ice he would have beat Eakin into the ice and would have required all 4 refs to pull him off. It's downright embarrassing that nobody did anything after that. I mean Vesey's first move was to look at the damn ref, then he chased Eaken and when he finally caught him he did nothing. It was an absolute joke and everyone on the ice should be ashamed.
