I wasn't a huge Byron fan, but his ability to delegate may have been a strength because he assembled a staff where each member made a valuable contribution. Eddie Jordan was about the offense, Frank was a good scout of the opposition and defense oriented, Byron brought in the track guy to help them learn how to get out on the break faster, and I'm not sure what O'Koren's strengths were.
So what are Cartwright and Hill's strengths? I know Cartwright works with the bigs (lot of good that's been
).
I know Thate sucks as a shooting coach.
What else?
I'm concerned because I'm starting to think Frank doesn't know how to impliment a style of play. He's very smart and great at taking a team that has one in place and maximizing it, but once there is turnover in players and staff he doesn't know how to create something that is his and get everyone to succeed in it.
I'm not overly familiar with all the assistants and what they do, but they should be a big part of the identity you are trying to achieve as a team. So I'm curious about what people know about these guys.
