Position-wise, what do the Blazers need most? Some around these parts seem to always harp on needing a new PG, others SF, others bu PF. I was just looking for an overall view.

Point guard. Someone who can start until Jay-Bay is ready.

I went with SF, my reasoning being folks seem scared to start a bunch of rookies, so in order to bring Bayless into the starting lineup you need a vet SF. Of course, Martell could be that guy, but we never hear about how his rehab is going.

Interesting question between PG and SF. Both positions have injuries (Blake, Webster); both have flawed vets playing (arguably) too many minutes (Sergio, Outlaw); and both have promising rookies aren't ready to carry the full load (Bayless, Bahtoom).

I went with PG for 2 reasons. First, it is the more vital position in terms of team success. Second, you can find decent SFs late in the 1st round, or for MLE money. Finding a good PG is a damn sight harder!

Oden needs someone to activate him and get him the ball. I went with PG.

The two biggest needs for us right now are post entry passing and perimeter defense. Someone who can give us both would be ideal.

PG.

I voted backup PF. I think Bayless will become our starting PG, and that Webster/Batum will do a good job at SF for us.

a vet sf one that has been threw the battle...I am sorry outlaw fans but he still doesnt feel like a veteran to me.

I'm going to do "Other".

I think we should simply be looking for the best possible deal for a SF and PG. If we can get a Deron Williams or Devin Harris, no matter how steep the price outside of our big 2 and Gregory, we should do that. If Danny Granger becomes available, we should def. go w/ that. (Obviously these aren't going to come true)... But I think we def. should not make a trade unless its a really good trade for us that will help us now and in the future, because i'm of the opinion that we have our future starting 5 on our team right now but i'm all for making the team better.

I put "other" because I seriously believe that JB, Roy, Webby, LMA and Oden can go all the way, w/proper coaching.

So my other means; better coach, or better defensive coach.
