Are there adjustments that can be made? Someone else mentioned it, but I was thinking the same thing, there really isn't an obvious move that can be made like putting Zach Randolph in the starting lineup.

I remember in that series against Dallas when we went down 3-0, everyone was clamoring to go with the "big lineup." We had actually been yelling about it for a couple games. Pippen, Bonzi, Sheed, Randolph, and Sabas. That lineup was so money and as soon as Cheeks FINALLY made the change, we started hammering Dallas. I really thought we were going to be the first team to come back from 3-0.

This time I really don't see a change that can be made. Go small? Dame, CJ, Wes, Nic, and LA? I guess we just have to ride it out, let our guys learn, and see if we can get something going in game 4.

We need more talent. Cap space this year is shaky at best, so get talent through the draft

I think Neil will pick up a couple nice vets. We need to develop the talent we have. I guess if you can turn Meyers and _____ into a decent rookie, great.

There isnt any big adjustment we can make that will change the series. Maybe we should have a better defensive lineup be the first off the bench in Freeland/Claver instead of wright/trob.
This series is more of a wakeup call to both the Players and the coach that our offense has been really good but that will only take you to where we are at unless we combine it with a good D.

Aldridge at center, best 3 pt shooters with him. Only shots allowed are Aldridge within 5 feet or three pointers. Prefer 3 pointers. Then, put Trob and Freeland and Claver in to hack Duncan for short stretches.

Believe the best change that can be made is to pull Lopez from the starting lineup and go with dorell wright.
try and force small ball. Even though the spurs most likely win the small ball game. Especially missing a healthy Mo Williams.

If we found someway to stop "respecting" the spurs and start playing as hard physically as we did against Houston that would help. It honestly seems like we respect the spurs to much to try and physically overpower them and lay them on their ass.
Id like Parker/Leonard to get laid out when they drive into the paint. If there going to score given them a bruise for each point they score.

I started to see this at the end of game three. The guys finally got mad. It only took 2.5 games, but they finally got mad. I'm really hoping that carries over into game four. I would really hate to get swept. It would be nice if we could at least make a game of it.

Thats all I wanted this series was to take a game so we could then have a blueprint for what it takes to beat the best team in the NBA in the playoffs that we could then build on next year.

I just want to give the guys some kind of hope. I would love to win a couple games but I don't think that's realistic at this point. I just want them to be able to say, "well we tried but they were the better team."

It's not that hard of a pill to swallow to be honest.

This bench isn't near where it should be to be true contenders.

I'm more than happy that the Blazers sent the Rockets home in the first round. Watching their fans run their mouth all last summer after they landed Dwight and then watching them come crashing to earth was awesome.

Next? We have to get a legit bench scorer. I'd try like hell to land Isaiah Thomas in a s&t or try like hell to land one of the better pure scorers in this draft: TJ Warren

It's not so much the losing, but the getting blown out that's hard to swallow. It's pretty fucking sobering about where we are as a team.

Change the PnR defense. Go under on Parker more often, make him into a LONG jump shooter, not mid range jump shooter. Also, if you're going over, Robin's going to have to start showing on it or they'll just continue to make us look like idiots on it.

I think we should get more physical with Parker. The Spurs have been beating up Dame all series. It's time to lay some wood on Tony.

I think what you do at this point is take it one game at a time and make a hell of an effort to win 4 in a row

The team is just not deep enough. Our bench, especially with Mo out, is really really bad.

This isn't news to anyone, but it IS something that can be improved in the offseason--Portland can use salary exceptions to sign solid players to flesh out the bench and/or younger guys like McCollum will improve.

The hard part is getting star-level players and starter-level guys... Portland has that.

Unfortunately, even if we add two solid guys to help with the bench next year, I don't think we'll have the kind of luck we did with (lack of) injuries this year.

The number one problem to me is clearly defense. We're fucking awful. If the Spurs hadn't just missed a bunch of open shots tonight they would have scored 150. I don't know if it's our scheme or our effort, but the defense just sucks. We have no chance to win against the best team in the league playing like that.

Lopez is who has been pissing me off. I haven't seen him play any good defense in this series.

IMO we have 2 options. Overhaul the D, or bolster the Bench. Assuming we stick with Stotts it would be futile to put a lot of emphasis on defensive players as the players abilities wouldn't be maximized. Also our team wasnt the worst defensive team in the NBA, just about average middle of the road... but we did have the least productive bench in the NBA.

I've been bewildered at how Stotts hasn't even given Freeland a chance this series. It must be because he actually plays defense and we can't have any of that going around.
