Burgers? Hot dogs? Etc...

I'm a fan of potato or macaroni salad when it's hot like this.

Iced tea or water are my 2 go to drinks when it's hot outside.

Beer to drink. Iced tea or lemonade for non alcoholic.

For food anything on a grill. It's far too hot to cook inside

I try to avoid sweets when it's hot, but key lime pie is good.

This summer I've been going with cranberry juice ice cubes and slushees.

I basically freeze cranberry juice as ice cubes. When they are ready I put them in my VitaMix Blender with some juice and blast away!

It's like a slurpee and or an icee.

I pick lemons from my tree and make lemonade, so much better than the frozen stuff. I tried all kinds of exotic recipes/techniques, but the best is simplest of all:
Squeeze 1 cup lemon juice. Add 3/4 cup sugar, stir well. Add one thinly sliced lemon, a few sprigs mint, then 4 cups cold water and stir it all. Chill.

Pilsner and white wine spritzers for alcoholic beverages, Ice water, Ice tea or diet coke for nonalcoholic.

Food I tend to go salad and meat, no starches, like a small steak and a real good fresh salad.

Also Ice coffee.

Ice cold Riesling.

We have a ton of it around my house.

As for food...... salad and anything I can cook on the grill that I can let cool down a little bit first.

I scream for ice cream in all weather.

So you are saying when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade?

Actually my cat Celia gave me lemons. My lemon tree hovered between life and death for months, just surviving, not flowering. Not growing. Then my Celia died of pancreatic cancer. I buried her under the lemon tree. About 5 months later - about the time it takes for a body to break down - the tree began to grow, flower, fruit, and has not stopped. I call it Celia's 10th life.

Life gave me lemons, I made lemonade, lemon bars, lemon meringue pie, lemon chicken....

Please stop. I'm salivating here.

Beautiful story and now I wish I could try some, they are probably super lemons too.

Ice cold beer . . . I know it's simple but love it on hot days.
At work, we get glass bottles of Mexican Coke and put it in my little freezer and open them when they get cold enough to crystalize just a bit when you pop the cap. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Mexico rules just for that.
