What they're saying in Chicago

My favorite part from the Tribune:

And why, you may ask, was Simmons in that early? Because Tyrus Thomas was reminding all why he'll never be confused with draft classmates Brandon Roy or LaMarcus Aldridge, forcing action and missing seven of nine shots.

Foye and Tyrus Thomas.................That'd be scary!

To their credit, maybe they'd be great (or at least good) if they had a coach like Nate, Monty and Dean Demopolous, who have shown they're actually capable of developing talent? Something to think about.

I got a laugh from Blog-A-Bull.

What WAS the coach thinking to start Gray and Hughes??

I was thinking the exact same thing when we played Minny. I still say Foye has a chance to turn things around. He hasn't exactly had consistent coaching and we seem to develop talent better than any other team in the league.

I like Jaynes comments:

We could talk about Oden's rebounding or his defense, but here's all you need to know about his impact: Noah played 10 minutes in the first half and committed five fouls. Four of those fouls were against Oden, which somehow added a new definition to the word "manhandled."

I thought the second linked article was right on - the bulls did not play as a team.
They had a LOT of 1-on-1 play.

I thought the morning crew on the game had the right analysis:

it was the Harlem Globetrotters v. the Washington Generals last night. :D

That's weird you bring up the Harlem Globetrotters. I just watched with my son the other day Scooby-Doo meets The Harlem Globetrotters!

Thanks, maxiep. I love these kinds of threads. It's always nice to see what other fans are saying about the Blazers.
