Mines slightly different because I added a poll. ;D

I won't care. He didn't do anything wrong and is just trying to play basketball.
He's just another guy on the other team to me.
It'd be great if everyone would just turn around and face their backs to miles as he enters the court!

While he was a blazer, he did everything wrong. He played totally lazy and unmotivated (except for that one last game where he scored like 47). But during the season towards the end of his blazers run, he would WALK the offense and it looked like he wanted to get booed. I say give it to him.
I am one of the few that still likes Miles. I think the Grizzlies just signed him to hurt us so I think that's crap, and I take issue with his tirade against Cheeks, but while some thought he mailed it in, I thought that, especially to begin the year that he got injured, he was playing with purpose, confidence, and heart. Same with the two previous years, especially the first half season he was here.
He gets a bad rap for getting fat too, but look at what Greg looked like when he first came back. I didn't realize how out of shape he was, but look at him now. A little PT and more activity and he's slimmed right down.
I just think Miles got caught in a bad time here in P-Town. He certainly isn't a choir boy, but I have no ill will towards him and actually wish, and think if he would have stayed healthy, he would have come in to his own as a very good player here in Portland.
So I will be one of the few that applaud him tonight, if only because no one else will.

You mean the season where he was trying to come back from a knee injury that eventually got him medically retired? Real surprise that he didn't move well.
He was certainly a dissapointment, but there've been plenty of others. I just don't think he's worth the energy to worry about.
To me, its worth the energy to despise him. His salary has been a hindrance to us, and its not due to his injury...we committed money to him, he did not want to play.
So boo John Nash. He's the idiot who offered Miles the salary.
I was actually a proponent of offering Miles the contract. I just didn't realize he would be such a piece of shit after signing it.
He deserves to play somewhere....just happy its not on our team. What was so "piece of shitty" about him? I don't get the hate.
to be fair, it was a Mo Cheeks offense.Did you watch him play? He didn't even try on the court. Walking the offense...and it was obvious as blazer fans just started booing him as he was playing. Its just something that always stuck in my mind when Miles was playing and after seeing that multiple times, I just totally lost respect for the guy as a basketball player.

Keep in mind he was trying to play with a messed up knee (pre surgery). When a major part of your game is being athletic, its hard to be effective when your knee is junk.
I kept that in mind. If you saw the games I did, you would feel similarly I think.

I watch pretty much every game. I saw the games you did.![]()

I think you have an overabundance of free energy. He is a professional basketball player with some strengths and some weaknesses. He didn't perform as well as we hoped while he was on our team, but he provided some good entertainment and (when he was at his peak) he was one of the more impressive athletes on the floor.
Sure, he clearly didn't deserve the contract he was given, especially in light of the medical (and, perhaps, psychological) issues that surfaced while he was here, but so what? He is off the team and apparently trying to be successful again. I don't see anything despicable here. If anyone is worth booing, it's the hare-brained Blazers management of the era that valued athleticism over all other personal qualities.
