Hmmmm. TNT will have a lot of free time on it's hands. Perhaps fill that time with Bones reruns? Could I be the only one benefitting from the lockout? **runs away**

interesting... i blame kingspeed! he clearly set up this lockout by sleeping with and blackmailing all the major players in the negotiations (derek fisher?)

As of December 1st, I have no work. I will honestly be looking for a job. I may be calling on my S2 boys for any ideas or hookups on work.

I've been following NFL more and am really enjoying it.

I'd rather have a break from basketball until February. 82 games is to many, I love the playoffs, draft, free agency but the grind of months of repetitive games gets old and boring; just like crappy baseball. The NFL is great because there are only 16 games! MMA is cool because fighters only fight 2 or 3 times a year!

Layoffs suck. In all seriousness, I really hope the owners and players can figure this our before it seriously hurts a lot of decent hard working families.

I agree. There are so many people who depend on the NBA season for their jobs. If it weren't like that, if it were just the owners, players and fans in a vacuum, would actually kind of like to see the entire season canceled. But with HCP and others depending on the game for their livelihoods, I hope it is all resolved soon.

It took living in the NW for many years to finally let the baseball season go without following it and enjoying the summer (When the Mariners were doing well I got sucked back into it). As I get older I think it will be easier for me to forget about the NBA season and focus on other activites and things to do with my time during the winter. What that is, I don't know yet . . . figured it out in the summer, I can figure it out in the winter.

Anyhow, as a Raider/Duck/Montana State fan, my football viewing has been fantastic this year, and I don't miss the NBA at all.

I'm also excited to see how Dana Altman's 2nd season goes with some of his players, and I'll focus more on the NCAA once the football seasons' end. I already have tickets through the UO for the NCAAs at the RG, so knowing the good teams on more than a surface level will make for a more fulfilling weekend at the RG in March.

I do empathize with HCP and others impacted by the lockout. I saw Mike Barrett at my kids' school; apparently he now has a kindergartner there, and I wondered if the Blazers are still paying their announcers.

I went to college in Bozeman for my undergrad and moved to Eugene afterward for more schooling.
