To think these guys make millions and millions of dollars and they still fail to compete. This is actually embarrassing to be a portland trailblazer fan its almost like watching your favorite pet die.....

GO BLAZERS RIP CITY

I have never had a day in my life where I have been embarrassed to be a blazer fan.

Are you saying you're embarrassed now or not?

This team is decimated by injuries! I was shocked and blown away by our win in game 1! I didn't think sweep, but I thought we'd lose in 5 or 6. Never embarrassed by my boys!

Just making sure...

Oh I don't know....

That Game 5 against Utah in the mid-90s where the Blazers lost something like 115 to 60 was pretty embarrassing.

Game 7 against the Lakers. 'Nuff said.

That all being said... this is one of those times that really questions your ability to root for this team.

This is fucking pathetic. The 3-time All-Star Roy and the #1 pick Oden are both out, and this is the type of shit I have to read by so-called fans.

Find a new fucking team.

Gotta be a fan threw the good times and the bad times otherwise you should just be rooting for cleveland or LA or w/e team is hot that year.

Game 7 was a fix, read Donoughy's book, or simply watch the game again. It was pretty obvious to see as it happened.

fuck you

Who's stopped being a fan?? Not me. Not anybody on this board that I know of. I can be a fan, and still be embarrassed by my team.

It was definitely a pathetic, embarrassing display. They're my team and I love them, but that was ridiculous. They weren't ready to compete and that's on the players and coaches. They better step it up Saturday!

I'm definitely not embarrassed, but bummed certainly.

So I guess I can ask you guys who claim that injuries had no effect on this game....... Do we lose with a starting line up of Greg/LA/Nic/Brandon/Dre? A bench of JB/Martell/Rudy/Camby/Pryz? What do you think? Would this squad embarrass you? There is a fine line of using injuries as an excuse and injuries being the god damn reason you got your ass whipped! I have said before on here that with a depleted roster you can win one game against any team in the league on any given night, but in a 7 game series, talent usually wins out. Quit having wacked out expectations just because we stole game 1. I have loved and supported this team my whole life and to answer some of your questions, NO I have never been "embarrassed" of my team or to be a Blazer fan. I was rockin' Blazer gear all around this country even when we were only winning 20 games. A true fan supports their team through thick and thin, good times and bad.

Well said ... and for what it's worth, even with a healthy GO, Brandon, Nic and Joel, this would be a tough out; Phoenix is balling out of their damn minds since March.

Oh, I understand talent winning out - but you can't tell me you thought there was a reasonable effort put forth tonight. Overall we may be lacking talent, but I can think of one power forward in particular who is simply not giving us a return on his talent level and injuries to others don't excuse that.

I stayed loyal to this team through the drafting of LaRue Martin, the trading of Moses Malone, the Bill Walton betrayal, the Sam Bowie debacle, the heartbreaks of the Drexler years, the game 7 meltdown, the Oregonian vendetta against the team, and the 20 win season.

Somewhere along the line, I think I earned the right to be critical when the team drops a major stinkbomb in a crucial play-off game on their own court.

Repped... not that an oldie like you needs rep from a youngun like me. :D

Injuries is one thing.
Playing with no heart is another and is not excusable. Injuries do not give a free ticket to mail it in.

I'm embarrassed more for the majority of the players.
The effort at times, of late, has been just pathetic.

A lot of the problem lies with McMillan IMO.

So you honestly thought we would compete tonight with all our guys out?

If by compete you mean "get close to Jason Richardson, maybe with a hand or two up in the air", then yes.

You mean like they did in game 1? Or against OKC and LA in the last week of the season?

Why yes, I did. Silly me.

I'll just say this and leave it as is, we don't have enough healthy talented bodies to win a series against the Suns. I think the worse thing that could of happened was stealing game 1. Started giving a false sense of security to people around here.

Get real man, with our injuries we couldn't be those teams in a 7 games series either.

I said the same thing to my fiancee tonight in the middle of my rant. I almost wish they'd just not won Game 1... I feel like it was an empty promise now.

I know, that's entirely selfish (lord knows they made no promises), but still. I feel let down.

Now I have no problem with people being bummed or feel let down, that is totally different then people being embarassed to be a Blazer fan.
