he's shooting 42% on his longer jump shots, which is just about (44%) what he shot last year. Except this year, only 18% of his shots are within 10 feet, where he makes 51% of them. Last year he shot 32% of his shots from inside 10 feet, for a 65% clip. Of his 21.7ppg, 10.2 came from jumpers outside 10 feet, 7.4 from shots inside 10 feet and 4.1 from FTs. In 2010-11, he shot 35% of his shots from inside 10 feet, at a 58% clip, but of his 21.8ppg he still had 10.3 from 10+ jumpers, 7.2 inside and 4.3 FTs.
This year he's shooting half as many shots inside as his last two "LaMonster" years, shooting only 15% of his shots inside and at a 51% clip. He's getting 13.2 of his ppg on long J's, only 3.6 ppg inside and 3.9ppg on FTs.
So to recap:
2010-11: Shoots 45% FG% on his long J's, but since 35% of his shots are inside, he shoots a higher % and gets more FTs. 10.3/7.2/4.3 on points outside/inside/FT
2011-12: Shoots 44% FG% on his long J's, but 38% of his shots are inside. Higher eFG% and more FT attempts. 10.2/7.4/4.1
2012-13: Shoots 42% FG% on his long J's, but 18% of his shots are inside. Low eFG%, fewer FT attempts. 13.4/3.6/3.9
